The Longest Day (blu-ray)

Unread post by Jason » Sat Oct 24, 2009 10:39 am

FINALLY! yay!, it was released in Australia, found it today in JB Hi-Fi, didn't care about the price I just bought it, it was $37.00 by the way.

I have not watched it yet, we all know it takes the better half of a day to watch this one. But I did take a quick look at the quality, it looks VERY good. It's full HD and yeah it looks great. Some DVD copies of it had bad sub-titles but they are good in this one, white with a black border. Nothing worse than bad sub-titles! The menu is pretty cool, not much to it but at least done in a nice fashion. A couple of extra features compared to the anniversary edition DVD, the 60th anniversary edition went for 171 mins, the blu-ray goes for 178 mins thup01. It's a double Blu-ray (not sure why they did that).

Does anyone know where to find a DVD/Blu-ray of the colour version? I prefer the black and white but it would be nice to have both, it makes it easier to get friends to watch it if you say you have a colour version  I know there is the VHS version but it's almost not worth buying a VCR for... might have to though
