Hidden and Dangerous failing to run.

I recently found my old copy of H&D2 and when i installed it on my new computer it fails to run at all.
I tried re-installing it and it still doesnt work.   
When i start the program i think it tries to load and then just has an error without telling me.
Any help in this mater would be much appreciated.

What operating system are you running? What are your computer specs? Did you have any problems during installation?
