Game Crashes When You Click Multi-player

There is a new glitch with the game that is currently unknown as to why this happens. When you hit multi-player, the game immediate crashes. This can be fixed. Go to your C Drive-local disk, Program Files, Illusion Softworks and Player Profiles. Delete this folder. Reopen the game, click multi-player and create a new profile. You can use your old player name. Once you have done this, quit out of the game. Go back to C Drive, program files, Illusion Softworks, Player Profiles. Right click on the file called Serverlist.bin and choose Properties, then click the box that says READ ONLY, then apply and then OK. This will prevent this file from being written to and changing anything. You can then go and play the game without it crashing. You can also go to WWW.HIDDEN-AND-DANGEROUS2.COM for more information. You do not need to reinstall the game.

you don't need to delete the player profile actually - you just need to delete everything in the serverlist bin and make it read only.

Thanks for the info, I recently had this happen with a couple of my computers and couldn't quite figure out what was the matter with them.

What Daniel said works just fine, no need to delete your profile. Also, can anybody really explain how this happened? With no real support for HD2, it's hard to get help with things.

I have a feeling something inside our computer implodes, leaving a massive crater that needs to be filled with nonsense...similar to reading the dictionary. fingers01

I think it is funny that Serial Sniper calls it a "new glitch" when this has been happening for awhile. I believe since Saber Squadron came out, can't remember if it happened to me before that.

The only step required is to delete ServerList.bin and then let the game crate a new one.

I think it happened to me as a result of an OS upgrade.
Just a guess.
Nothing else changed, one day works, next day not.
All better now.
