I am going to snoop around and see if I can find a different sound effect for the silenced sten gun. The current one, unlike in H&D2, sounds really cut up.
Also, I just played a little of the vanilla game to test out my theory, and just I as I figured, when I fire a fully auto weapon while standing up, my feet stay totally still, unlike in Deluxe, or modded Deluxe.
Can you show me a recording of you firing, say, and MP40, while standing up, in the 3rd person?
The problem is, that most games uses really short samples for weapons shooting sound. Not to mention, that H&D Deluxe requires to sound to be a rather low quality. No mp3 format support or stuff like that.
The recording of me shooting MP-40 at the beginning of the Poland 1 mission attached below. I didn't notice anything strange.
Ah ha! Just what I was thinking; it doesn't happen with you. Your feet stay still.
I recorded the previous video while playing H&D Deluxe on Windows XP. For consolation i must say, that the problem you described
existed while i was playing the game on Windows Vista OS.
Both my feet moved when i fired MP-40 in 3rd person mode. I suspect, that in Windows 7 / 10 the problem will be the same. See the attached video. Maybe try to run the game in Windows XP compatibility mode?
By the way, the shooting sound for my custom silenced Sten gun was adjusted by me to fit the 3-round burst of the gun in the game. It is really hard to actually separate 3 shots close to each other when someone shots the weapon on full auto. I needed to edit the original sound file for the game purpose. You can imagine, than there isn't many videos about shooting silenced Sten on Youtube, lol.
EDIT: Much to my surprise, my character's feet while shooting MP-40 in H&D Deluxe installed on another PC with Windows 10 OS didn't move at all in 3rd person mode.
