H&D Deluxe, the ultimate mod: Guns

I managed to import the British PIAT from Medal of Honor: Breaktrough and made it usable in H&D Deluxe.

Below i uploaded all the needed files in order to have the custom British PIAT present in H&D Deluxe.

Unpack the PIAT.rar archive (models.mod, maps.mod and sounds folders) into your root H&D Deluxe directory.

I also needed to replace some items ID in certain missions to be able to add the PIAT to the inventory lists. Please download the missions.rar archive.

I added the PIAT into the following campaign inventory selection screens:

-> Norwegian campaign;

-> Ardenes campaign;

-> Czechoslovak campaign;

-> Greek campaign.


Important note: there is a bug when using the PIAT in game: hitting any surfaces beside destroyable vehicles will cause no explosion effect. This is the side effect of removing the smoke trail effect during firing. After all the PIAT is not a rocket propelled weapon like Bazooka or Panzerfaust. PIAT could be fired in H&D Deluxe only in laying position. I gave this weapon a distinctive "shooting sound".

I found a free, good-looking 3d model of the British Boys anti-tank rifle on https://p3dm.ru/files/weapon/ website, that i added into H&D Deluxe.

Unpack the Boys rifle.rar archive (models.mod, maps.mod and sounds folders) into your root H&D Deluxe directory.

I added the Boys AT-rifle into the Yugoslavian campaign inventory selection screen. It also could be collected from one of the weapon crates inside the barn in the Danube 5 mission. This is the only campaign where you be able to choose this weapon from the campaign inventory selection screen, since later in the war it became ineffective against enemy armor and replaced by better anti-tank weapons (like PIAT). However, you still will be able to use the Boys AT-rifle later in the game if you want, because this weapon will pass from one mission to another. Because of that i edited resistance ID of enemy halftracks in few missions, so now they will be vulnerable to Boys AT-rifle fire. Please download the missions.rar archive.

Important note:

The new custom Boys anti-tank rifle could be used in game only in laying position. This weapon is usable against halftracks and unarmored vehicles (like motorcycles). 2 shots from the Boys AT-rifle should be enough to destroy them.

I managed to import the Nebelwerfer artillery model from the Medal of Honor: Spearhead game. I will try to make it usable in H&D Deluxe.

I plan to add Nebelwerfers to the Ardenes campaign.

Great job getting the Breda, and great resolution. Though I am confused; isn't the magazine supposed to be on the other side, or am I suffering from the Mandela-Effect?

There is a software called Lightray3D that allow to import original MOH models. A guy from Moddb community nicknamed MCh2207Cz told me about it.

By the way the Carcano, MAB-38 and PIAT are also imported from MOH: Breaktrough.

Sadly, I must admit that I hate the name of Breakthrough. So many stupid changes were made to that game; no weapon pick-ups, etc. But I digress.

Well, i am currently playing MOH:Breaktrough and it is not that bad in my opinion. Few challenging levels especially on hard difficulty. New weapons and equipment.

In AA and Spearhead, I can salvage ammo from the enemy, (though realistically, I should be able to swap my weapon for theirs), but in Breakthrough, I can do neither. Ammo quickly runs out.

The mission where you blow up the boat, do you carefully avoid picking up the MP40 to grab the Moschetto later in the mission?

There is a reason why Breakthrough has been noted for its historical inaccuracies and anachronisms, and received lower scores than Spearhead or Allied Assault.

In every game, I made a huge effort to keep my men alive; in Breakthrough, it's borderline impossible without cheats.
