Germany 6 review
Making the halftrack drivable for one last heroic act was LOVELY.

But (LOL) you didn't have to refuel it all the way. All it needed was 3 or 4 liters, to demonstrate that it's "running on fumes". nods01

Still, that halftrack and I have been through so much together; it made me cry that I couldn't haul it back home with me. So I had to destroy it once the mission was over.

P.S. The classical game made the number of men chasing you random. Instead of a stuck 64 men, there could 60-100 men chasing you.

P.P.S. What happened to the fisherman living here?
And why can't we steal the clothes from the clothesline?

Thank you for the feedback! thup01

We can't steal the clothes from the clothesline, because probably this is not an "item" from the inventory, but just a model.

However, 4 fishermans driving Wehrmacht halftrack would look suspicious, don't you think?

LOL, we could just say that we saw 4 men fleeing from the scene after the halftrack conked out of fuel...
(I need the smiley face that has the rolled eyes whistling).

Hmm, were you thinking of Gregory Peck, David Niven, and Anthony Quinn just then?

Now as to the REAL fisherman who lives here, I see smoke coming from the chimney. Didn't he see the plane despite the camo netting?

I could remove the smoke that comes from the chimney if you want. This will be more realistic, since there is nobody at home, lol.

Maybe our pilot shot the fisherman and had made himself at home in the cabin.
Anyway, there is no need. I am just a guy who notices things.
Though, now that I think about it, who set up the two MG42s?

As to the snowy SAS uniforms, which of the two do you like more?

Maybe the Catalina pilot? He already placed some boxes with equipment on the pier.

I have no opinion about the SAS snowy uniforms - i never paid atention to that.

I like the one that is pure white with the black helmet more than the other one.

As to Norway 1, would a Panther tank fit anywhere?

Adding 1 or more locomotives at the ends of those tankers would make sense.

Is there a winter model for the drivable boat?

One thing that always annoyed me about Norway 1 is the nonsensical location of the escape point.
I get the feeling it's just an excuse to make us fight more enemies.

Panther tank with winter camo would look stupid in the Norway1 mission. This is a factory not a military camp.

However, i could add one or two locomotives. There is no "winter camo" for the locomotives.

There is only a stationary model of the "winter type" patrol boat available in H&D Deluxe.

First i need to edit the Germany5 mission, then i will look again into the Norway1 mission.
Please give me some time, otherwise i will get a heart attack!

I looked into the Tiger tank from the stock Ardennes2 mission in HD editor.

The tank's driver has an order to drive the tank along the main road and then stop.

The tank moved along the main road without problems. However, this road has no curves - it is straight.

I will try to put the Tiger tank FFF settings into the Germany5 mission and see what happens.

Unfortunately, this didn't help - the chasing Tiger from Germany5 mission still behaves strange.

I decided to remove the stock chasing Tiger tank from Germany5 mission, because i wasn't able to fix his strange behavior on the main road.

Maybe i will add later a single Panther or Tiger manually and see if the situation repeats.

I replaced the 3 stock stationary Tiger tanks in the camp with new ones placed by me manually, with Tiger tank settings from FFF expansion.
All 3 are drivable, each Tiger tank has fuel (2000 liters) and ammo (100 rounds). thup01

Good news!

I managed to add a new "chasing" Tiger tank into the Germany5 mission replacing the stock one and now the tank behaves normally. thup01

The method, that i used to achieve this goal is not 100% perfect, but at least it works.

I assigned a set of waypoints (named tiger1 to tiger10) to this Tiger tank and it will stop every time, when reaches one of the mentioned waypoints. However, the tank will resume his drive until it stops at the programmed destination - see picture below. I tried to reduce the number of set waypoints to minimum, but they are necessary. It seems that the AI has problems to get through sharp bends and the Tiger tank could get stuck between trees or terrain, lol.

Please download the modified Germany5 mission again. I will NOT make any more changes in this mission, unless you will find a significant bug.

The vanilla Tiger vs. the FFF Tiger, what was different about their stats?
Was one faster? Burned less fuel? Etc.

The Tiger tank from Ardennes 2 mission is faster (higher Speed ratio value), than the one from the stock Germany5 mission and uses different sounds for engine. However, in my modified Germany5 mission, the Tigers are using the stock H&D engine sounds.
