I edited the Yugoslavia 4 mission  .

I optimized the objects collision, so now it is possible to shot through the barbed wire, because there are "clearances" in them.

I removed the 2 men German patrol near the small wooden bridge, because i thought they look stupid walking on the open ground.

I also removed the lone German soldier, that was patrolling the top of the bunker hill. He was an easy prey for a sniper.

All German defenders are either in the trenches or inside bunkers. Few MG nests are covering the approaches. This will give the Germans an advantage in defense. Grenades and sniper rifle would be very useful in this mission.

I changed the behavior of some German soldiers, so now they will hold ground.

Now you have got a lot of missions to test, lol.

Any feedback will be appreciated!

LOL, whoa, slow down. I just got up.

Yugoslavia 1 review.
If the two men are in danger of getting run over by any motorcycle you put on the map, then why not make them the actual driver and gunner?

Other than that, it's great.
Though I do wonder, where are the farmers? I see civilian buildings all over the place.

Bad News
Yugoslavia 2

The trolley doesn't roll down the streets.

And worse, the clothes on the clothesline are spare SAS uniforms!

P.S. One change that I just thought of; have an unarmed (and drunk) German soldier-or-officer lingering outside the brothel, and he has a uniform in his inventory. If unarmed won't work, then give him a knife.

Yugoslavia has a weird trade-off.

When wearing civilian clothes;
In the Classical game, running gets you shot. Walking only. no_03
In the Deluxe game, run all you want. The Germans are ok.

In the Classical game, you could drive the limousine just fine. In fact, you may have been able to run people over and not set off the alarm.
In the Deluxe game; civilian driving of cars is absolutely prohibited. no_03

BTW, do you know what it takes to destroy a trolley like in the picture?

If i add a motorcycle with 2 men and fuel, they will patrol the main road until they got run out of fuel and stop. So, this isn't a good idea.

Maybe the Germans forced the local inhabitants to leave their homes and farms?

The trolley roll down the streets only in the classic H&D and you could actually be run over by it and die, lol.

I will fix the clothes ID to match German uniforms - i was almost sure that this bug will occur.

OK, download the mission again.

I also updated the data.dta archive to make the German uniform item not transferable to the next mission.

I decided to change the civilian clothes in Yugoslavia 2 to German ones, because the Germans are garrisoned in the town  . A little souvenir stolen from them, lol. Beside that, according to the mission briefing there is a curfew in the town, so civilians are not allowed to walking on the streets.

Why adding another German soldier with uniform in his inventory, while we could obtain German uniforms without killing anybody? This makes no sense...

Please download the data.dta archive again.

I never destroyed a trolley in the classic H&D 1.

Well, the game mechanics wasn't made by me, so blame the H&D Deluxe developers for those "bugs".

Well, I thought we were going to wear civilian clothes, and figured we would need 1 German uniform so we can use a knife, and plus, I enjoy Easter Eggs, and that's why I suggested having a German hanging around the whorehouse. It would also give the whorehouse a purpose.

The train in Italy 1 can kill you too, and it gets to stay.
So, you will not reprogram to the trolley to roll down the road? Everyone I know misses it.

Hmm, VERY good point about the curfew; the instructor does mention it... And plus, why is a civilian heading towards a pub that the Germans are using for themselves? A little fishy.
I do like the pub's location though.

Huh? So originally, we were going to keep the German uniforms you were thinking of giving us?
What's the worst that could happen to us if we are captured? I think Commandoes are already under penalty of death.

No, i will not add the trolley to Yugoslavia 2 mission - i simply don't know how to do this.

Well, now you could obtain up to 4 German uniforms in this mission, but you cannot take them to the next mission (in theory, because i didn't test this).

There was an order given by Hitler himself - the "Commando Befehl" - any captured SAS commando will be executed.

Did you already test my modified Yugoslavia 4 mission or not? I want to edit the Yugoslavia 5 next (the last mission in the campaign).

Just got done with Yugoslavia 2.
Really? I thought you were able to have the trolley run again. Didn't you on the other overhaul? I must read the wrong author. :-?

Anyway, it's nice, but now we can't casually stroll past the Germans now; they seem to recognize a fake German uniform faster than civilian clothes. But hey, we can drive again.
We are just 4 young German bachelors on leave, and we are carpooling to the pub. wink01 Though our "comrades" might be wondering why we are choosing the pub over the brothel. :-?
Thanks for putting gas into the second limo, because I wrecked the first one. funny01

Is the "gray, cunt-cap uniform" your favorite?

Thanks for removing/delaying that stupid "enemy is alert" thing when we take the boat.

One last thing, can you increase the boat's speed? In the classical game, it was fast enough that we could reach the bridge that was our starting point by the time the "completed" music ended.

See?
So there is no point in throwing away a German uniform to avoid getting "executed as a spy" if you are already doomed for execution simply for being a commando.

Well, i added only this uniform texture into the Yugoslavia 2 mission. There are also other models such winter camo, etc.

There is a setting about how quick the enemy and civilian uniforms will be recognized by Germans in H&D Deluxe. I could look into this setting, but i never edited it - i left that default.

I will look also into the patrol boat settings again. If i manage to make it faster i will let you know.

You pay attention to such small details, that i am surprised. I thought that i am an inquisitive person, lol.

When something you are used to/accustomed to vanishes, you are bound to notice. I remember always seeing the bridge appear and get close, just before we got the "mission successful" screen after stealing the boat in the classical game. In Deluxe, we barely get halfway to it.

I think I would give the dark uniform with the arm-band a try for the first time, if it's possible.
Is there really a setting? Wow. I will love to have that played with.

Another reason I know all the small details, is because I like to play with the game. I like to savor it. Whereas, including my family, always want to get through with it ASAP. I have to admit though, rushing through is often realistic.

P.S. Bad news, Yugoslavia 1, 2, and 3, the instructions are missing.

About Yugoslavia 1,2,3 - from the stock missions.dta archive backup restore the briefings folders of those missions. I don't know why this happens.

OK, i edited the data.dta once more - i set the "Uniform confusing factor" value for wearing German uniforms like for wearing civilian clothes.

I decided to not edit the patrol boat in Yugoslavia 2. I moved the "detector" closer to the bridge, so now you will actually need to reach the bridge using patrol boat to complete the mission.

Download the Yugoslavia 2 mission and data.dta archive once again.

I hope, that those are the last changes that i made to this mission. I would like finally to proceed to Yugoslavia 5 mission.

Just finished Yugoslavia 3, review.

Heightened base alertness, check.
Somebody telephoned ahead that the boat was stolen. nods01

Germans making use of the halftracks, check.
The one below made life hard for me, in a good way.

No fuel in either halftrack. :|
Oh well. At least the jeep (kubelwagen) has gas in it, and it's faster.

No fuel in Tiger. frown01
How can the turret turn if the engine has no fuel, and thus can't run the motor?

In the classical game, the turret could swing 360 degrees, or at least far enough back where it could destroy the halftrack right behind it. In Deluxe, it can't turn anywhere enough. Can that be fixed?
Is there any way to destroy the second barge, the one under the bridge? The first one can be blown with a single tank shot. But the second one, I fired two bazooka rounds at it, and got nothing.

Ah ha! I completely forgot about this destroyable footbridge located right next to the bridge, over the secondary lock-gate. Does that bridge have a usable model?

P.S. Why not speed up the boat? The detector was in the right place. The boat is just slow-as-a-snail compared to the classic.
