H&D Deluxe, the ultimate mod: Guns

Unread post by Myron » Sat Sep 23, 2017 8:06 pm

Damn. Don't you just hate it when you write a big message and delete it by accident?

Anyway, here is what I remember from the message I tried to send you yesterday.

1.) All US and UK weapons added to the inventory selection from the very start.
The USSR Spagin, well, I'll leave that up to you. If it's added, it will be very hard to make my pop (father) use a different gun. You can also delete the Johnson, if you want to, or if it will make space.

2.) Make all stock/vanilla weapons use the "from the hip" aim model, just like in FFF, that way they can be just like the FFF-only weapons. (MOH style)
It's just silly for some guns to fire from the hip, and others down the sights. So it's better to make them all "from the hip.

3.) Adjust all weapon weights to the better one. For example, the Bazooka weighs 13kgs in the vanilla game, but only 7kgs in the FFF campaigns.

4.) Leave the Browning in the inventory, as it's supposed to be the Browning 1919, which can be carried-and-fired in real life. It just uses the wrong model, so you must forgive that. It can also carry the original sights, for the reason of #5. The weight can also remain unchanged.

5.) Please add the BAR 1918 to the inventory, and make it possible to fire standing up.

6.) The FFF fire-rate of the MP40 is much better than the vanilla. But the fire-rate of the MP44 is utter crap compared to the vanilla. So is it possible to switch the FFF MP40, but keep the vanilla MP44?

AD. 1 - already done it, including Spagin (known better as PPSH 41).

AD. 2 - i don't know how to do it.

AD. 3 - Bazooka weight changed.

AD. 4 - already done.

AD. 5 - already done.

AD. 6 - indeed. The shot delay value of MP40 in FFF is 70, but in stock H&D 100. The shot delay value of MP44 in FFF is 200, but in stock H&D is 100. This probably determine the rate of fire. Of course i could change the values.

EDIT: I changed the "Shot delay" values in inventory tables of FFF and H&D according to your wishes.

While browsing the stock H&D Deluxe models and sounds folder i found a weapon called MG32.

The problem is, that i never heard about MG32. I know about MG34 and its successor MG42. :-?

Did you Myron hear about MG32 being used by Wehrmacht or other armies?

In my opinion this is a typing error made by H&D Deluxe game developers - they probably mean MG42 instead.

What do you think?

That was also my idea. Because the weapon model looks like a low poly MG42.

They probably meant the MGs that the Luftwaffe bombers had.

In fact, that is what the Hydroplane in Greece 4 has.

Well, i don't know. I am rarely using Thompson in H&D Deluxe (it is heavy and has small magazine capacity).

I never saw one in real life. However i had MP40 and PPSH41 in my hands plus i shoot from Mosin-Nagant rifle (non-scoped) at the shooting range. Once i shoot from TT33 (Tokarev pistol) gun used by Russian officers in WWII.

Hmm, putting an HD-ish weapon in a non HD game? I will wait and see.

Suggestion for add-on; a 4-man group of partisans must destroy the two Ju-287 prototypes, and other planes, at an airport that looks like Prague 2.

The Allies have bombed the main runway, so the jets are grounded. Now is a good time to strike!

Well, you were satisfied from the new Browning 1919 weapon model look (it is also a "HD-ish weapon").

I am starting to regret, that i put the picture of the new MP44 weapon model here...maybe i should keep it only for myself.
Oh, don't get me wrong; I am very interested.
