Well, i added 6 Russian soldiers that are attacking from South-East direction close to the left runway.

I already added "an artillery strike" that will kill some Germans at the top of the control tower at the mission beginning.

I see no point for adding vehicles (neither German or Russian) - this will be very time consuming process and in the overall chaos the mission would be unplayable. The instructor didn't say anything particular about vehicles that will took part in the Russian attack.

This is not a "Battle of the Kursk" after all. It is also not a "Bertgold" mod, where the Germans faced Russians in big battles. I won't make a mission in COD-style where the player is more a spectator (like in cinema) than an active participant of the events (i am talking about the modern CODs).

I will not edit this mission anymore unless significant bugs will be found. Now i am starting to look into FFF expansion missions before i record the gameplay and upload it on my Youtube channel.

As You know i didn't say that i will agree to all Your proposals for changes. I want to finish recording the H&D Deluxe missions walktrough videos before the New Year starts. Thank You for Your understanding!

I decided to make another update of the Poland 1 mission - before i record the gameplay and upload it on my Youtube channel.

Beside already implemented changes i made few new ones:

- removed German uniform item from the German intelligence officer inventory (one of our SAS commandos is already dressed in enemy uniform and who normally is carrying an extra uniform when going to interrogation);

- added "Potato masher" grenades to some enemy soldiers inventory;

- small bugs fixed.

IMPORTANT INFO

For some reason the tactical map from Poland 1 mission is broken and doesn't function properly. Maybe try to copy the "map" sub-folder from the original Poland 1 mission (i hope Myron that You made a backup as i told You that earlier). Everything else is working OK.

This was added in Deluxe version, because sometimes the first player was not the German dressed.

Hmm, strange. In the HDD editor the player model dressed in German uniform is called "sas1" in the Poland1 mission - so i assume that this is the first player. Well, i never had the problem described by You above. See picture below.

Please pause for a while, as there was an important update I needed, but I can't remember what it is right now. I hate it when I can't remember.

I will have my two shifts of night security starting now.

The updates were in the Battle of the Bulge Campaign, if I remember correctly.

Actually, I think there should be more than 1 guy in enemy uniform, because a high-ranking officer would NEVER drive himself, and never be alone.

The driver should be carrying a spare uniform of the kind he's wearing.

You are right NilsZ - i checked that in the HDD editor. When You press F6 button the first SAS commando that will be active is the one named "sas4".

OK, beside already implemented changes in the Poland 1 mission i decided to replace the default Kubelwagen driver model with another one with backpack (german1.i3d). This soldier will carry an extra uniform and MP40 with 256 rounds of ammo in his inventory.

You will need also to download an updated data.dta archive version, because i was forced to change the default German uniform model item in the inventory table of the FFF expansion from german7.i3d to german1.i3d (the one used by the new Kubelwagen driver).

See picture below.

Please download and test this mission. Thank You for pointing that out - it adds to the overall realism. thup01

I will look also in the Ardennes campaign again don't worry.

By the way i visited the Ardennes region few years ago. I was in Bastogne (present day Belgium) where American 101st Airborne Division defended the town against German counterattack. After seeing the whole area, i am not surprised that Americans didn't expect a German counterattack in such place (dense forests and hilly terrain) with the use of tanks. :roll: There is a Sherman tank on the Bastogne square with several big holes in it - i assume either from 88' guns or Panzerfaust or both. I don't think that anyone from the tank's crew could survive that.

when i played the mission the first time i came also with 2 german dressed soldiers (because they expect two guys)

By the way the instructor from Poland 1 mission should learn geography again: Kielce (Neuwitz?) is not located in the former Eastern Prussia (see pictures below). Well, even Czechs make mistakes about the geography of Europe, LOL. For example Kaliningrad (previously Koenigsberg) is a city located in former Eastern Prussia (today a part of the Russian Federation).

There is a sign on the control tower located on the airfield in the Poland 1 mission where You could clearly see the name "Kielce" (see picture below).

I decided to make another update of the Poland 2 mission - before i record the gameplay and upload it on my Youtube channel.

Beside already implemented changes i made few new ones:

- slightly repositioned mission spawn point (in front of the landing craft at the beginning of the sandy beach looking from the sea);

- increased the reaction times of enemy soldiers to avoid lightning speed reaction times (even faster than a real human i able to react);

- added "Potato masher" grenades to some enemy soldiers inventory;

- small bugs fixed.

Please download and test this mission.
