Sorry, it is my bad. Earlier I downloaded a models.dta from a different thread of yours. I assumed that it may changes the model of the original browning which should be an M1919 instead of BAR.

It is a bit hard for make to make difference between the different running projects here and I am tending to mix up files. You mentioned an overhaul project in one of your previous comments. What is that?

Well, i will explain you.

The "Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe missions overhaul mod" project is over - i won't update it anymore.

Now i am working on another project called: "H&D Deluxe; the ultimate mod; Mission overhauls" with the participation of user Myron.

The data.dta archive that i uploaded earlier is currently used in the above project.

Missing or mixing H&D Deluxe files could end up with a totally unplayable game, CTD and even worse - with a need of re-install of the game.

Read everything carefully and always make a backup of original game files!

This is the correct thread, which you need to check for recent H&D Deluxe missions updates: https://hidden-and-dangerous.net/board/ ... 27&t=39721

Oh, I see! The previous data.dta that you gave me along with the italy1 is fitting to every "H&D Deluxe; the ultimate mod; Mission overhauls" maps?

Is there any skin/model mod available to change Browning machinegun actually to an M1919 instad of a second BAR?

Yes, exactly. The data.dta version, that i send to you will be compatible with all my updated H&D Deluxe missions from the "H&D Deluxe; the ultimate mod; Mission overhauls" thread. That was an idea, that came before i started this project. However, i was forced to edit each stock H&D Deluxe mission in order to make them compatible with my newest data.dta archive.

As far as i know, there is only one skin and model for both BAR 1918 and M1919 available in H&D Deluxe. However, both weapons have different descriptions and some characteristics in H&D Deluxe.

There are certainly some BAR 1918 and M1919 weapon models available to download from the Internet, but making them usable in H&D Deluxe requires some work that i never did before.

It looks a bit silly that a belt-fed like MG has a short mag. But I doesn't really matter. :)

Yeah, i understand you perfectly. If i only have more experience in 3d modeling using 3ds Max i would change that.

However, i was able to create few new weapons for H&D Deluxe to use in my add-ons like fixed Vickers MG and Type 92 MG.

I also slightly edited the Mauser K98 rifle to convert it to Arisaka rifle. The same with the Sten MKII S model (i used the stock Sten model as a basis).

Whoa, a silenced Sten would be absolutely awsome! Along with a revolver and a de lisle c.c...

However I get the following error message upon launching the game if I put that italy1 folder into my missions.dta:

Do you have any idea?

Did you deleted the stock Italy1 mission from your stock missions.dta archive found in your H&D Deluxe / data directory?

I also told you wrong - you need to put the Italy1 mission folder into the main H&D Deluxe directory (i.e. :C:\Program Files\Take2\Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe) inside the missions folder. You don't need to add it to your original missions.dta archive. Remember to make a backup of the original missions.dta archive!!!

In some cases, the *.dta archives have a access denied problem (in Windows 7 OS in example), meaning that you cannot edit their content while it is still held inside the dta archive. You will need to unpack the *.dta archive, make changes in it and then open the original *.dta archive and replace the files (store compression option). Of course the Winrar will be needed for that. This is how i made changes to the data.dta archive.

See pictures below.

I apologize for providing wrong info.

You could also try my H&D Deluxe add-ons (posted in the Projects thread) if you like.

I recommend the ones that take place in Asia and Africa.

However, the add-ons are using different data.dta archive version, lol.

I created all the add-ons before i started the project with Myron.

I will keep it in mind. Are there any finished maps beside Italy1 that you recommend to try?

OK, here you are: http://www.mediafire.com/file/fu378cklr ... ssions.rar

Unpack the rar archive uploaded on Mediafire into your H&D Deluxe directory:

- missions, models and models.mod folders into your main H&D Deluxe directory,

- missions.dta into your data H&D Deluxe directory and replace the original missions.dta (make a backup first!).

You will also need the newest data.dta archive version for those missions that i uploaded earlier.

In addition, you will need also the maps.mod.rar archive (for all new textures). Unpack this *.rar archive to your main H&D Deluxe directory. I uploaded this archive below.

I am not 100% sure, but you will probably need also the decensor mod. I uploaded this mod below. Readme included.

Keep in mind, that some of those missions could be still updated later!

Have fun!
