Startup Problem

Unread post by Tompen » Wed Mar 16, 2005 9:05 am

Hey,
When I start H&D2 I get a message which is basically telling me that the discs I have are illegal when i have purchased them legitamately... It has been a while since i installed and promptly deleted due to the above problem.
I looked on the internet for hours and found only one piece of info about this problem saying that the game will not run with the new CD/DVD writer CD drives... I hope you know what i mean.
I have been reading about UBI new protection system which basically will not allow games to run on CD/DVD writer drives and wondered if this is the case with this game??? Is there a way around this problem short of getting a new CD drive???
Thanks alot
Aaron
P.S. I hope you understand my problem because this game looks really awesome

http://m0001.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc ... us_2.shtml

Just go there and get a no-cd crack :D

Of course terms apply like you got to have the full version bought game or whatever... blah blah blah same old mumbo jumbo.

Berry Racer,
It just says that it was unable to authenticate original disc within time limit...

Yeah I'm on 56k too, the H&D2 patches aren't at all 56k friendly :(
