Indeed, recent years were hard with Covid around and all that stuff.

Me and NilsZ for example are still modding H&D Deluxe for some degree - NilsZ is currently working with the source code (improving the fullhands cheat) and i updated my mod on ModDB a while ago together with few addons. Thanks to NilsZ we have a new, improved addon saving system (it works just like in the Singleplayer campaign and the saves are still being kept upon game/system restart making the addon gameplay less frustrating).

Mostly just working and trying a few new hobbies outside of games. There's some solid work I need to do with the website that I've put off a bit long but doing it now. Managing web development projects is a job of its own. Which is mostly what I do now

The world is in a very interesting spot

Good to hear you guys are still working at it. I keep thinking about it every week or two

or maybe work on a simple mission. It has been so long, I think I need to play some more WW2 games to find some inspiration.

It has certainly been... interesting. That I've been busy would be an understatement, but I am starting a new job soon and will hopefully have more time to come back to the HD and HD2 community once that's settled.

Yeah I'm not sure where http://hidden-and-dangerous.de/ went, but I have 2 back ups of it. I'll put up a mirror for it.

At the moment the most improvements were made on the source code.
I can mention some fixes that we made:
AI won't try to open locked doors without a key
Rapid fire bug is fixed
Original faces are restored
Addons keep savegames
inventory, guns and weapons have various more options for shot adjustments (like fly speed of rockets, ballistic shots for fixed guns)
1024 Inventory slots and descritpions slots for each
And some more things that i dont remember right now

Yeah I need to setup the mirror for all of the downloads. I have 2 copies of the site but they are a bit funky.

That was a hell of a campaign for me at least ......
I still wanna apologize for really adding up more excuses for not coding or modding the game with the lads but be patient my friends I still gonna do my best to serve this community well even from the sidelines
....

I'm currently doing my yearly replay of H&D Classic. I no longer use my og CDs on Win XP, however(although I still have pre-Win 10+ machines.) I've just found I have fewer issues playing the GoG version on Win 10 these days.

Also, I'm happy to see that the website and forums are still up. Thank you Jason for maintaining it over the years!
