i3d Plugin Source Code

Unread post by Jason » Tue Oct 09, 2012 7:34 am

I've come into possession of the i3d plugin source code, we can now work to update it for newer versions of 3d max

You'll have to message me for the link for the time being. The package contains some files that may or may not have some copyright issues - well it's the 3d max SDK.

Big thanks to Michal Bacik at Lonely Cat Games thup01

Not sure when we will see updated versions of the plugins, someone is working on it now, it sounds very promising

Any news about H&D2 plugins? If we could somehow get the H&D2 editor, we could rebuild the whole H&D2, fix all bugs, make completely new missions and campaign or extend them way more... and add all WW2 items and vehicles... and make it public. Would be great eh ?

Hey Guys,

Sorry for the stupid question, but what does it mean exactly? it's the game-SDK or the map editor's SDK?

I've recompiled the plugin now for 3ds Max 2013 64-bit based on the original source code. However, there is a problem with the rotation of objects. I don't know how to solve that at the moment since I haven't touched any parts on the source regarding rotations.

Here are two screens from ardenes1 and northoc:

Installation:
Download the plugin HERE (right click - Save As..) for 3ds Max 2013 x64 and put the .dli into the "plugins" folder inside your 3ds Max root directory. You may also need to install the latest VC++ runtime package (2012) unless you already have Visual Studio 2012 installed: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... x?id=30679

Usage:
Go to the main menu -> "Import" -> "Import". Make sure that "I3D Model (.I3D)" is listed in the available formats, navigate to your file and press "Open".

I suppose this should be a bridge (from ardenes1), but everything is out of place as you can see here:

@Marvin: No, these are maps from HD Deluxe

I don't like it either! The original, especially for the Dreamcast, is a different game!

He's talking about HDD right? HD Deluxe? To be clear, I don't like Deluxe, I like the original.
