question textures transparencies

i want create new trees or bush ,but original texture in maps data are in PNG format
i ave not found transparencie with this pictures .
can i import tga in the game? for create new object with transparencie ?

The material of an transparent texture must be callen "!somethingelse" important is the "!". Your texture must have than an alpha channel to be transparent or you use rgb bitmaps with channel 0 0 0 = transparent

Do you know max? Change the materialname from material to !transparent for example. With the original textures it will work. For your own textures you must add an alpha chanel into your texture via photosho or any other program. Or you use an RGB bmp immage where the RGB 000 (complete black) is the empty part. As I remember it was all written in the IS2 helpfile.

oupssss my png texture render good trans in truespace 3d or maya but in 3ds max i dont know the manip . this is my prob. need help for atribute this transparencies in max.

In the Screenshot you?ll see in the material editor the name of the material "!mat" this name will made the normal textures transparent. I hope this is it what you wanted

no thx I am going to try to find a tutorial has palettes of transparence as propo of this done under max by the fact that to me under max it do not appear.

in 3dmax ave applied texture ans texture transparencie the render is correct but ingame always this result !!! :cry:
realy need you'r help men understand anything :cry:
