So I was wondering if you could change the flags of HD2 like some other people do, eg. from brit flag to custom design flag. Does anyone know how to do it?

Unpack the textures from the dta and edit them with an paintprogram and store them in the same place (H&D2\maps\) with the correct filename than the game should load them
