Scripting tutorial?

Hi folks,
As the topic says I need a little help in scripting.
And some of you really know how to do. So maybe you can spend some time and work in doing a Script Tutorial?
I mean in Zdenda's tutorial, he says it's self explaining. Yes O.K. ... Not for me?!
The basics are easy, Hawk's "GS HD2 Advanced Script Writer" is a very useful tool, but I still don't know how to e.g let a vehicle drive from A to B and let the soldiers dismount. How to do a patrolling guard? Also about "sending signals" I'm overchallenged.
And much more...
It's all a bit confusing and a good written tutorial with some examples would help a lot i think.
You could look up things easily...
Of course you could check all the other, already existing, scripts and look for a solution, but it's just annoying.
So it would be really great if somebody could give it a try and explain all this in an easy way.
