Personally i loved the game, you really have to use tactics, if you try run and gun you will be shot down within seconds. here are some screenies i took, think i got killed at least 10 times trying to get em

Hehe, you big crosshair loving sap! :)

By default, there's no crosshair in BiA - I didn't use a crosshair (nor did I draw a dot on the screen if you were thinking that :P ). I just fired blind or looked down the sights. Firing blind was actually just as effective, got some good kills from distance, which is hard even while aiming properly. :?

really grim this one.

If you are American an own an X box, this is for you.
Otherwise. Avoid.

Really stomach churning cutscenes that you cannot skip through.
Horrible low res (800x600 for the xbox) textures.
No lean.
Very linear.
A lot of walking into the edge of the map trying to get through.
Interface designed to be used by 2 thumbs and 2 forefingers only.
Maps no bigger than 64 meg (xboxed again)
16 player objective style multiplayer mode only
Horrible Grenade system

on the pluses
Greatest Iron sights yet.
Modding tools promised.

Brothers in Arms: the series is on sale on Steam for $10

Earned in Blood and Road to Hill 30 are $2.50 (I already own physical copy, yet to play )
Hell's Highway is $5

23 Hours left! grin01

Hell's Highway any good?

I like HH and I still have it & RTH30 on my HDD when I want some FPS action but want to be a bit less stealthy than what's needed in H&D2.

You also have to change your mindset from being stealthy and part of a four-man team to leading up to a nine-person squad (Fire Team, Assault Team, and Special/Hvy Weps) via a point-and-click system.  You will sometimes interact with other squads or armor support.

Gameplay aside, it is best to do the games in order: RTH30 (3rd Squad, Normandy), EIB (2nd Squad, Normandy), and HH (3rd & 2nd Squad, Market Garden).  The reason being is you will get to know these soldiers and there is also an underlying storyline.  The names and references to what happened in Normandy won't make sense if you start with Hell's Highway.

Finally, EIB physical doesn't like W7, though I understand the Steam version is okay..  My system will throw-up and uninstall the game as it "repairs" itself.  This has to do with Starforce and so far there is no patch or work around other than having a dual-boot system.  Ubisoft says the game is too old for a patch and both Ubisoft & Starfoce state it was never meant for W7.  My luck, I still have a system running XP Pro; but my video card died and my on-board isn't good enough for EIB.  Oh well.

  I hope this helps.

Some other things I remembered about HH which you might find interesting.

First off, your 3rd Squad along with 2nd Squad have been assigned to Recon.

-  Each chapter had two recon reports (the locations are on your tactical map) and unlocking these would give you some background on actual events during Market Garden.  So check your map.

-  Nearing certain locations would let you "recon the area" and see certain cut-scenes or "find" something you might have otherwise missed.

- A mini-game in itself, each Chapter also had three Kilroys (from "Kilroy was here" fame).  Finding these would let you "write" Kilroy was here.  I guess it was the developers way of making you do your job as "Recon" and properly search the area.

The game is linear but not as confining as the early CoD and MoH games.  Once you pass a certain point, though,  something usually blocks your way from going back.  Push forward men ... never retreat!!!
