When i try host multiplayer game i get error "Failed to initialize network connection"

Can some one tell me how to fix this? I am running free version of hidden and dangerous deluxe on windows vista.

Is the TCP/IP protocol installed?

I'm sure the problem is some directx protocol.
I had the same error!
try to install the directx 9.0c it worked for me!
