H&DD - running very choppy

Unread post by Sneak33 » Mon Aug 06, 2007 7:07 am

My friends comp runs H&DD very choppy in single player mode and when we co op online. He has a nvidia 7800 GT and winxp sp2. He's tried to turn off antialiasing, he ran the program in compatibility mode for win98, he even tryed running it in safe mode with no avail it was still choppy. He doesnt want to roll back his drivers for his card if thats an option. He has directx 9.0c.

Shouldn´t be a gfx bug. HDD original missions only need a 500mhz cpu and a gfx2 to run smooth. Try that: Start the game in window mode, than start the taskmanager, find the hdd.exe rightclick at it and put the priority up one level. Maybe that will help. What cpu did he use?

Ok if its a Prescott intel with htt (simulated dualcore) he could also try to assign via the taskmanager the hdd.exe to only one core. Maybe that helps
