It's embarrassing but I can't figure out how to climb the ladder at the beginning of this mission, which is to free the Allied pilots, blow up remaining fuel tanks, etc. Copy of the Controls that I procured on the internet does not show any keystroke(s) for this movement.
Any and all advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

Go near the ladder and press "u" (default) if the animation will change you are in the climbing a ladder mode

Yup, just go nearby and press "Use" button. It should move into ladder.

If you want to go down ladder, go nearby it and press "Use" again.

It is not advice to jump out of the towers, since it tends to kill your soldier easily.
