Display problems with Win XP Pro

Unread post by Aardvark » Thu Jan 13, 2005 10:19 pm

Ran H&D Deluxe with no problems until I reinstalled my OS. Now when the game starts up the top of the menu frame is gone and the text inside the menu frame is missing. From memory I barely can click my way through to start or resume a saved game. When starting a new game most of the numbers for skills or weapons are missing. In a game most of the numbers in a soldiers inventory are missing.
I'm using the same drivers now as before I reinstalled the OS, basically the same setup as before except a few more windows components. I tried using the same game installer that worked before and have downloaded new ones from gamesites but the problem remains. Any suggestions on how to fix the problem? A friend of mine has the same display problem on his new machine too.

You only have to add the "safe" behind the exe. Than it will work without downgrading the driver
