Hey mate

To be honest I don't really play co-op online that much  I do sometimes although I am only on 56k. I am normally busy making maps, tutorials or web sites any way

Now that the site is up and running I can focus on Deluxe2 again and get it finished.

Maybe I will go on later tonight to have a play. Most if not all that are active on the forums are editors of the game rather than players.

You should join the Deluxe usergroup, click usergroups on the menu under the banner 8)

Same here  - origin missions are played over and over again (what did it take last time, Lars? Two evenings for all Classic campaigns in H&DD :D ?!) so only AddOn's apply nowadays.
Else I keep on editing, though I took a break during the summer.
Shoot me again, I ain't dead yet!

how many are there out there ?

Unread post by spamagon » Fri Sep 24, 2004 5:21 pm

I guess thousands of newbies like me are out there.
I spent hours searching forums & websites for hints (not cheats).
Many links promise exactly what I'm looking for but turn out to be dead links. This site looks promising.
I'm looking for advice on the Poland section of Deluxe.
Part2 , defend then board the landing craft on the beach.

I couldn't see a Help section to place this message so please edit & move as necc.

Love the game,
Brian

Jason, please excuse the weirdness, and the paleolithic thread, but I was desparately looking for the walkthrough you mentioned, afraid it had gone offline forever. Thanks, geocities...

I remembered I mentioned how much I liked this walkthrough, it's just pure fun to read even if you don't use it - ! I mentioned this at hnd2. Heh. So I was using the archive to try to get their pages, but you have to log in to EZB to do this, which can't be done in an archived page, so all they had was archived error messages.

I also read a whole pile of crap (walkthrough sites) in search of this walkthrough and waded through dead H&D links on a few sites whose names escape me now.

Thank you so much for posting the link! 4 years ago!  funny01 I really thought it was gone forever. I'll have to save that site to my HD, so that even though the H&D community rots away, that treasure will remain. Shit, I should write that Sneakshooter guy and ask if I can mirror it. It's just comedic gold.

I hope you enjoyed reading. I truly appreciate this.

[EDIT] I know what happened, the bandwidth quota was reached for his site. It's all still there. It's going to take a while to grab all of the H&D2 walkthrough. [/EDIT]

I just went to the link above, it still works for me. I really need to grab it as I have permission to mirror it.

Hrmmm, will do it now! *slaps self into action*

Oh sweet they are from Unofficial H&D2 Fugue's old website. I will have to see if I can contact him, would prefer an official nod to upload them but either way they are going up

Sweet 2 walkthroughs. I will have to do my own for H&D3... when it comes out... when it's developed... when they finish the other 3 games they are working on... help01

I'm sorry to say the worst has come to pass and geocities is no more, therefore, the only source of William Sanders' walkthroughs is your mirrors. I sent him a message warning him about it but got no reply - he looks like he's past these games forever. I grabbed myself a copy too.

I've become aware that William Sanders has died.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Sanders_(writer)

It feels strange. But he was very old for a computer game player, and Hidden and Dangerous is very old for a computer game now. I hate to see it.
I guess as we go through life all people we know will perish, but it feels like a peer, not some old man you don't care about. No surprise, the guy had a real talent for writing and a great life experience. Rest in peace. frown01
