How many men

Ok, am about to play again after a quite a few years (thanks for the link Jason), i always played with four men but in HnD2/SS i would only use one man (sometimes two to carry extra hardware). Question: Is HnD/D playable/possible with only one or two men, there was only one mission i really got stuck on, the one where you have to escape in the aircraft (one of those floating ones) in some kinda swamp but my PC was sh#te in those days & when all those soldiers came for me the game lag was terrible & made it so much harder to play. Any feedback welcome
I am so looking forward to playing again.

Installed the game & cannot get passed "Select Game Profile", just an empty box with nothing to click on, help!

Just read a post that says to add "help" to the shortcut, did this & the menu & sound are working, does running the game in "safe" mode make any difference?

The safe mode will turn off the dynamic shadows ( you can turn them on later in the game. Do you see anything in the menue or have you entered an name? In early days some useres has to use an diffrent older driver to get hdd working with their card. That was the last driver who worked with their nvidia card http://www.had-gf.de/downloads/index.php?file_id=187
Oh and sure you can play hdd alone ... but some missions are than really hard cause the enemy will attack you.

Am using an NVidia GeForce FX5200 with 169.21 drivers, i have found these to be the more stable & are quite old now. The menu was just a blank box, there was nothing to see to click on so i could not continue.
Am playing now & the zoom on the binoculars & the Enfield don't seem to be working

Oh yes the 5200 have that problem too. So you can try the old driver or just clicking arround that screen a bit You have to enter an name and select the difficulty. As far as I remember you only get the problem at this screen and when you will see the tasks in the game

Nah! the problem is there all through the menus, not sure i want to faff on changing drivers. Still have no zoom, i need the zoom, game ain't worth playing without it.

The zoom works, you have to press the zoom key & move the mouse in/forwrd & out/back.

Myself use an 6600 with the 185.85 and I didin't had these bugs anymore. As I had the 5200 I always have to use the old drivers to get it working without problems

Another question: Can you drop items? how to please if so.

Sure, select the item and press enter and hold it! The icon should change from take to give. Release the button and you drop whatever you have.

Ah! Thanks Lars, now that you say it i remember. Going Ok so far but am finding movement kinda hard, i'll get used to it again after playing a while.
