Sniper zoom and 1st person problem

Unread post by kerstman » Thu Sep 10, 2009 2:13 pm

Hello people,

I've just downloaded H&D Deluxe legally from the internet. Everything runs perfect but there's one very pityful problem: I cannot zoom and I cannot switch to 1st person view. I've read several forums to find an answer but they don't work for me. I've tried to press the rmb and then move forward / backward and move mouse forward / backward but it doesnt work at all. Besides of that I absolutely don't know how to switch to 1st person view.

I played the game a long long time ago (not deluxe) on another computer with a now broken CD and I really loved it. I would like to play it again but really need the zoom and 1st person modes. Does anyone have a solution?

That is strange. Have you tried to reconfigure the keyboard commands in the hdd game options? Don't know the US-Keyboardlayout but the key for changing the view should be near the Enter key

It might depend on the weapon. Although Lee Enfield sniper rifles don't zoom the German sniper rifles do. Or else my copy also has a mistake. Windows XP.

Yes, this in a very strange issue you guys are having. You definitely should be able to use the scopes. Dare I say try re-installing the game frown01 this is just something I've never heard of with H&D1 / Deluxe... the free version should have no difference. What operating system are you guys using?

Always try running in compatibility mode for this game.

a maybe i'll do that. I'm playing it now in XP.

about the control configuration: I can change the zoom control but it doesn't work. There is absolutely no control to switch 1st person in the control list.

By default they are plus and minus in between the zero and the backspace keys. Maybe try running the game is safe mode? :|
