C3M1-Destroy Archives

Help. I am now on the floor with the archives and have placed the explosive at the second wooden column - and the entire wooden structure is supposed to collapse, along with secondary explosions. Have tried this column 5-6 times and nothing happens. Also tried the other 3 columns and the frame never comes down. Also tried each column, then went and placed explosives in the other 2 rooms, but never received "Objective Achieved".
Sure would appreciate advice as to what I'm doing wrong. Thanks

Please ignore my message of this date. I solved the problem by more properly placing the timed explosive at the second post/stanchion and the whole place blew up; as well as the other 2 rooms. Objective achieved.
