I will update it as soon as possible. I still need to update the rest of the H&D Deluxe campaign missions. Until then just use my recently uploaded updated campaigns and other related game files posted here on H&D forums. Meanwhile i looked again into my modified mission from the North Ocean campaign and i made further changes:

-> slightly decreased the accuracy of enemies equipped with non-scoped bolt-action rifles;

-> slightly re-positioned the mission spawn point for the player team;

-> added a "torpedo explosion" that will occur after 30 minutes (counting from the mission start) and create a chain of explosions inside the ship (on one of her decks);

-> added a text message about a "torpedo attack", that will be displayed when a hidden German U-boat attacks the ship in order to sink her once and for all - resulting in a mission failure; unless you manage to obtain the decoding machine and get back to the Catalina using pontoon before that happens.

Meanwhile i looked again into my modified missions from the campaign in Poland and i made further changes:

Poland 1

-> removed German uniform from the Kubelwagen driver inventory;

-> slightly decreased the accuracy of enemies equipped with non-scoped bolt-action rifles and assault rifles;

-> minor bug fixed;

-> AI scripts optimizations;

-> removed some of the trees that were growing around the airfield fence.

Poland 2

-> slightly decreased the accuracy of enemies equipped with non-scoped bolt-action rifles and assault rifles;

-> minor bug fixed;

-> AI scripts optimizations;

-> tactical map updated.

Meanwhile i looked again into my modified missions from the Ardenes campaign and i made further changes:

Ardenes 1

-> set the AI visibility range to be the same as the mission visual / drawing range - like it was originally;

-> slightly decreased the accuracy of enemies equipped with non-scoped bolt-action rifles and assault rifles;

-> minor bug fixed;

-> MG gunners on towers and the Nebelwerfer gunner are now equipped with sidearms and could abandon their positions in case of direct player attack.

Ardenes 2

-> slightly decreased the accuracy of enemies equipped with non-scoped bolt-action rifles and assault rifles;

-> minor bug fixed;

-> replaced the default Panther tank wreck near one of the bridges with a custom one imported from Call of Duty World at War;

-> Nebelwerfer gunner is now equipped with sidearm and could abandon his position in case of direct player attack.

Ardenes 3

-> slightly decreased the accuracy of enemies equipped with non-scoped bolt-action rifles and assault rifles;

-> minor bugs fixed.


Below you will find my updated Ardenes campaign, that includes the missions listed above. To be continued (work in progress).

Meanwhile i looked again into my modified missions from the Prague campaign and i made further changes:

Prague 1

-> set the AI visibility range to be the same as the mission visual / drawing range - like it was originally;

-> slightly decreased the accuracy of enemies / Prague insurgents equipped with non-scoped bolt-action rifles, submachine-guns, assault rifles and pistols;

-> minor bugs fixed;

-> most MG gunners are now equipped with sidearms and could abandon their positions in case of direct player attack;

-> added a text message, that will be displayed when the German scientist reach the Russian defensive positions at the bridge - resulting in a mission failure. You will need to maintain a safe distance to the "Russian controlled zone of the city" to avoid that.

Prague 2

-> decreased the accuracy of enemies armed with bolt-action rifles and assault rifles;

-> MG gunners are now equipped with sidearms to defend themself in case of direct player attack;

-> minor bugs fixed;

-> replaced the default road barrier models at the airfield entrance with my custom moveable ones.

Thank you so much for making stealth in Norway 4 mandatory. My brothers going in guns-blazing always felt annoyingly unrealistic.

As for Poland 1, there needs to be one team member wearing a driver uniform. No high-ranking officer drives himself.

Is there a silenced Luger pistol?
I know one is supposed to exist in Sabre Squadron, but I never saw it or heard it. I only know it exists because I saw a greyed out icon for it in the Weapons Selection menu.

As for Poland 1 - I understand you, but why for god's sake a German driver should have a spare uniform in his backpack / pocket? That doesn't make sense at all. There is no surrender option in H&D Deluxe like it is in H&D 2 in order to obtain an uniform from alive enemy. In addition, the video instructor clearly stated that only one of our teammembers has German uniform. Stealth missions in vanilla H&D Deluxe doesn't make lot of sense by the way. Simply adding an German uniform to Polish campaign weapons / items selection screen smells cheating to me. Our commando disguised as the officer could tell a lie to airfield's guard, that the driver was urgently needed elsewhere i.e. to deliver an important message to HQ or something like that. Preparing a false documents / orders is not a big deal for a specialist, which history showed many times, lol.

In real life / Hollywood movie the scene between a fake German officer and German guard at the airfield entrance would be as follows:

- (Officer) Good evening. I was sent from HQ to interrogate the uncovered British agent. Hurry up private! Open the gate / lift the road barrier!

- (Soldier) One moment Sir. I need to confirm that information via phone call. I will call the HQ and get back to you ASAP.

- (Barely heard noise of a weapon silencer / dying soldier's noises with a knife sticking out from his throat).

As for silenced Luger pistol model - there are probably few available 3d models of it to choose from on the Internet, however i didn't make any research yet. The problem with silenced weapons in H&D Deluxe is, that they make the game sometimes too easy knowing how dumb the enemy AI could be in general. H&D Deluxe is not a stealth game like Hitman / Splinter Cell, etc after all. NilsZ is still working on improving the enemy AI behavior in the game, but i cannot expect miracles. My own main goal in these days is to update my H&D Deluxe Ultimate Mod on ModDB as soon as possible.

Greece 1

-> slightly decreased the accuracy of enemies using non-scoped bolt-action rifles;

-> MG gunners are now equipped with sidearms to defend themself in case of direct player attack;

-> minor bugs fixed;

-> edited the default wooden fence model (gplot.i3d) - now the static collision is applied directly to it.

The Instructor didn't say "only" 1 team member has a disguise. ;)

Yeah, you are right. I listened to the video briefing again - looks like i misunderstood the instructor words at first. :roll:

Anyway, it is rather obvious, that the H&D 1 / Deluxe developers created the Poland 1 mission having in mind a scenario in which only one of our 4 teammembers is dressed in German uniform. It is the commando disguised as the enemy high-ranking counter-intelligence officer. He needs to steal the Kubelwagen and infiltrate the base via main gate - while other teammembers should use the sewer-system to enter the base. So, my main point is still valid according to the Poland 1 video briefing.

I will be soon working on the Greece 2 mission update. It is a big map, so it could take me some time.

it is rather obvious, that the H&D 1 / Deluxe developers created the Poland 1 mission made a number of mistakes. Mistakes that we've been fixing ever since this idea came to me 4 years ago. :cool:

Hmm, maybe... you know that silenced pistol from MOH? :idea:
I don't know know any other stealth WWII games... maybe The Great Escape has one.... I don't think the models from Sniper Elite can be used... :?:

I'm imagining that the "officer" sitting in the right backseat shoots the sentry with a silenced pistol when asked for his papers. funny02

-> slightly decreased the accuracy of enemy MG gunners, T-34 gunner and AB-41 (armored car) gunner;

-> some stationary MG gunners are now equipped with sidearms to defend themself in case of direct player attack;

-> minor bugs fixed including problems with collisions volumes of various vehicles;

-> removed some vegetation like bushes, etc;

-> slightly re-positioned the starting positions of the player teammates - in order to make more space between them.

Greece 3

-> slightly decreased the accuracy of enemies using non-scoped bolt-action rifles and light machine-guns;

-> slightly decreased the accuracy of enemy captured Panther tank gunner;

-> removed some vegetation like trees, bushes, etc;

-> adjusted collision volumes on trees, so now they match the tree model;

-> minor bug fixed;

-> enemy AI scripts optimization.

Greece 4

-> some enemies will use the Italian submachine-gun (MAB-38) instead of bolt-action rifles;

-> adjusted collision volumes on terrain;

-> minor bugs fixed.

Unpack also the content of the models.rar archive (models.dta file) into your H&D Deluxe / data directory. Replace files when asked.

Following the recent NilsZ feedback i decided to update again the Danube 5 mission.

List of latest changes that i implemented:

-> small bugs fixed;

-> now the enemy soldiers will spawn in front of the forest line, not out of a thin air as it was before;

-> adjusted static collisions of terrain and various objects like trees, forest, etc
