I still wanted some new changes in the Danube 3 mission beside the ones that i implemented, so look at the list below: :mrgreen:

-> shortened metal fence on both sides of the river (see pictures below);

-> metal fence and metal pole visuals turned into usable models using 3ds Max software;

-> tactical map updated;

-> slightly increased the quantity of sandbags and their deployment close to the first MG tower (see picture below);

-> both sides of the river converted into a minefield - terrain material set to "Mine field" (the rectangular area selected and seen on the picture);

-> reconnected parts of the checkpoint grid (previously divided by metal fence that i partly removed).

OK Myron. So below i uploaded the newest Danube 3 mission version that includes the changes listed in my previous post.

You will also need to download the models.mod.rar archive (it contains the metal fence and metal pole models) uploaded below this post and unpack the models.mod folder from that archive into your main H&D Deluxe directory (i.e. C:\Program Files\Take2\Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe). Merge with the existing models.mod folder when asked.

Please give me a feedback!

Uff, lots of modding work behind me today - now i have to go to sleep. sleep01

OK Myron. I changed once again the resistance ID of the destroyable road barrier model in the Danube 3 mission. There will be no more visible flame after explosion - that's for sure.

Beside the updated Danube 3 mission please download also the updated data.dta archive (it contains the edited resist.tab table).

Give me later some feedback.

Like i informed you in one of my latest PMs i managed to change few aspects of the Danube 3 mission that were problematic in my opinion:

-> static collision volumes optimized on stationary objects like metal fences and ladders;

-> non-static collision volumes optimized on the gunboat model;

-> improved the behavior of the German soldier that operates the field gun.

Please download and test this newest Danube 3 mission update. :cool:

Hello Myron.

I managed to fix the problematic armored railway car model from the Danube 3 mission, which was immune to bazooka fire according to your info.

See picture below (i needed just one bazooka round to blow up the armored railway car - you should aim for the sides of it).

Please download the updated Danube 3 mission again.

OK Myron. I think, that i fixed the problematic flickering of various elements in the Zelezna Vrata complex area. This bug was probably caused by improperly set visuals settings related to shadows casting and receiving. Hopefully i managed to get rid off this problem once and for all. A short while ago i tested the Danube 3 mission on my Windows XP OS and there was no flickering at all. Please download and test this mission again. Also let me know if the "flickering bug" is fixed or not.

Hello Myron. I managed to replace the old problematic "flickering metal fence" that was placed by me near the guard house closest to the concrete pier in the Danube 3 mission. The problem was caused by the fact, that i put two metal fence segments on top of each other, because previously i didn't have a suitable metal fence model of desired size. Today i "borrowed" a short metal fence visual from the Germany 4 mission and i transformed it into a usable model using 3ds Max software. Then i simply replaced the older metal fence model with the new one. :cool:

In order to have the new metal fence model working in the Danube 3 mission please download the models.mod.rar archive uploaded below and extract (unpack) the models.mod folder from that archive into your main H&D Deluxe game directory (i.e. C:\Program Files\Take2\Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe). Merge with the existing models.mod folder when asked.

Please download and test this newest Danube 3 mission update. thup01

Hello Myron. I just realized that the Zelezna Vrata complex is inadequately equipped to be able to perform loading/unloading operations of transport barges (such the one with coal load placed by default by game developers on the canal). I thought about all possible solutions to fix this and i implemented few changes into the Danube 3 mission as a result:

-> removed two long pieces of metal railings on both sides of the main floodgate canal;

-> added a number of metal mooring pins on both sides of the main floodgate canal;

-> added 3 metal mooring pins on the short concrete pier;

-> tactical map updated;

-> Danube 3 mission video briefing updated.

See picture below. :cool:

In order to have the metal mooring pin model working in the Danube 3 mission please download the models.mod.rar archive uploaded below and extract (unpack) the models.mod folder from that archive into your main H&D Deluxe game directory (i.e. C:\Program Files\Take2\Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe). Merge with the existing models.mod folder when asked.

Hello Myron.

Beside metal mooring pins i added also a rubber bumpers to both lock's canal concrete walls. :cool:

In order to have the new rubber bumper (tire) model working in the Danube 3 mission please download the models.mod.rar and maps.mod.rar archives uploaded below and extract (unpack) the models.mod and maps.mod folders from that archives into your main H&D Deluxe game directory (i.e. C:\Program Files\Take2\Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe). Merge with the existing models.mod and maps.mod folders when asked.

Please download and test this newest Danube 3 mission update. thup01

The new tire model and related texture were downloaded from www.cadnav.com.

Hello Myron.

Since the area where the Danube 4 mission takes place was a scenery of recent fights between Wehrmacht and communist partisans - i decided to add graves for both German and partisan sides.

See attached pictures below.

I agree, the lack of tree stumps in the front is wrong; as nobody living here has the means to remove them. The partisans would naturally need the wood build their shelters/bunkers.
Plus they would need a "killing field".

Ah, is that a simple dirt mound? Above the four graves?
The six partisans ordered to "run the gauntlet" must have been the ones to dig all those graves. :(

Hello Myron.

Thank you for the feedback! :grin:

Well, the single big pile of dirt seen on the picture was planned by me to be a mass grave of already killed partisans. German soldiers buried them in one place together (or maybe they forced captured partisans to dig the grave instead and get rid of dead bodies). In the other hand, few German soldiers that got killed during the attack on partisan positions were buried in separate graves by their comrades with "appropriate honors" as much as battlefield conditions permit.

The Germans quickly re-built the bunkers and trenches complex and set up their own defense (i.e. MG positions) being in danger of partisan counterattack in "a near future".

Meantime i would like to show you 3 pictures, on which you could see the camouflage nets and supporting wooden pillars that i recently added on 3 bunkers (on all their entrances and "windows"). :cool:
