Ha, ha, ha - sehr lustig! Well, there are many more changes in my modified H&D Deluxe missions than just adding "potato masher" grenades to enemies inventory in case that you didn't notice...

Is it just me, or did you update Greece 2 before you updated Greece 1?

It doesn't.
It's just that I was accustomed to them getting updated in order, and suddenly, something appeared different. Just double-checking. thup01

I decided to make another update of the Greece 3 mission - before i record the gameplay and upload it on my Youtube channel.

Beside already implemented changes i made few new ones:

- removed the road block with MG and partisan behind it, because i increased the mission view range earlier (so the MG operator would spot your team immediately after the mission's start). I increased the mission view range, because the default setting (some kind of fog) seemed unrealistic and looked strange in my opinion. Still there is a captured Panther tank that will guard the road leading to the ruins of an ancient oracle;

- added "Potato masher" grenades to some enemy soldiers inventory;

- more dense checkpoint grid to make the AI navigation easier;

- objects static collision optimized;

- small bugs fixed.

I decided to make another update of the Greece 4 mission - before i record the gameplay and upload it on my Youtube channel.

Beside already implemented changes i made few new ones:

- added various types of grenades to some enemy soldiers inventory (British and German types);

- changed behavior of some enemy soldiers - now they will guard assigned areas;

- removed two enemy soldiers from one of the storage rooms on the top floor of the complex (the T-34 tank aimed at the rope bridge should compensate that);

- added 2 Panzerfausts in the workshop area on the top floor of the complex;

- objects static collision optimized;

- small bugs fixed;

- tactical map fixed.

I decided to make an alternative version of the Greece 4 mission.

Beside already implemented changes i made few new ones:

- removed armored steel doors to the kitchen;

- Kostakipulos placed in another room located on the lower floor of the complex (the room with the map on the wall);

- now Kostakipulos will be guarded by a partisan armed with PPSH-41 and 100% accuracy;

- the Kostakipulos will try to escape when the player reaches certain places in the complex lower floor.


ADDITIONAL INFO

The armored steel doors to the kitchen were pointless in my opinion - because as a result Kostakipulos was actually trapped inside with no chance to escape.

When Kostakipulos reaches the un-destroyed seaplane the mission will be failed. To prevent this You could simply blow up the seaplane earlier, so when Kostakipulos reaches the seaplane it would be "un-usable" for him.

The instructor actually mentioned in the video briefing, that Kostakipulos will try to escape and the player needs to stop him. I thought, that this would be a nice extra feature of this mission.

By force of habit, I ALWAYS blow up barrels when I see them. And unlike most other games, these barrels continue burning for a while.

Kostakipulos's path takes him running right though those barrels, which he burns to death. (Stupid AI, funny02 )

Sadly, I think that makes killing him to easy.

Is there any way to make him come closer to the edge that he gives the barrels enough of a berth so he doesn't burn?

Well i didn't expect that you will blow up the barrels. The instructor didn't tell that killing Kostakipulos will be hard. Maybe just blow up the seaplane instead off all other objects, lol.

I have to start over, because I saved it *after* blowing up the barrels, and thus can't see how/what exactly happens when Kostakipulos reaches the plane.

Also, I just don't have the heart to blow up a beautiful seaplane. I like it better than the Catalina.
Our Catalina doesn't even weapons on it like the US Navy's Black Cats. LOL

When Kostakipulos reaches the un-damaged seaplane the mission will be over - nothing fancy, but at least realistic in my opinion. ;)

I understand, but blowing the seaplane is obligatory in the Greece 4 mission as one of the mission's objectives. :mrgreen:

When I first played this mission, I was sad remembering how the H&D Catalina has no guns. :sad:

LOL. I also played Call of Duty World at War few years ago and i remember this mission quite well.

By the way i just returned from a trip to Vienna (capital of Austria), where among other attractions i visited former Flak tower (today called "Haus des Meeres" - a ZOO). There were previously 6 such towers in the Vienna city centre during WWII armed with heavy and light AA guns on top and equipped with sophisticated radar and optical aiming system against Allied bombers. This reminds me a mission from Sniper Elite V2 game, LOL.
