Ah, okay.
By the way there is a separate forum thread for discussion related to soldiers modding: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=38005

Please use it in the future! Thanks for your understanding!

Like i promised I added a custom Tiger I model "camouflaged version" imported from Call of Duty into H&D Deluxe.

I placed the tank on the bridge in the Prague 1 mission. The tank is "abandoned" by the crew with no fuel and ammo. However, it is still intact, because the crew failed to blow it up prior to escape. I wanted to depict some typical late-war Tiger scenario from WW2.

See picture below.

Unpack the Tiger CoD camo.rar archive (models.mod and maps.mod folders) into your main H&D Deluxe directory.

For a moment there, I thought this forum vanished.

In Germany 5, I think the Stug is too well illuminated, given that it's under a canopy of trees.

The Stug in Prague 1 is shady, as it should be. :)

Indeed, i noticed that before.

I made the environment less bright, since this mission takes place in cloudy day. Please download the updated Germany 5 mission attached below.

See picture below.

I didn't want to make it too dark though.

EDIT: i uploaded the mission once again. I re-calculated all light maps (light sources) in order to have the environment properly iluminated.

I added an Easter Egg to the Ardenes 3 mission. I placed a radio inside the bomb shelter, which plays the "Panzerlied song" from the movie "Battle of the Bulge" - as long as it is functional.

I placed also a shelf with supplies, because the room looked too empty by default in my opinion.

See picture below.

I won't upload the modified mission yet, because i would like to focus now on implementing the custom Sherman tank model imported from Call of Duty: United Offensive into H&D Deluxe. Hopefully, there will be an usable Winter version for the Ardenes campaign.

I also edited the default radio tower model (used in the Norway 2 mission). I placed its scaled-down version behind the "bomb-shelter" in the Ardenes 3 mission.

See picture below.

By the way i fixed the "bug" with the original radio tower being able to withstand one time-bomb explosion. This was related to the model itself and placement of the static collision on it. However, i don't think that i will replace the default radio tower model from the Norway 2 mission with the edited one, because the original radio tower used in that particular mission is twice as big as the edited one that i placed in the Ardenes 3 mission. Thus the need of extra explosives to bring it down seems understandable.

Huh, did the bomb shelter even have a tower originally? I don't remember.

No, it didn't have.

However, because the Germans captured a former US fuel depot i thought, that the Americans surely had some type of communication center established there. Since Autumn 1944 the front line on the Western Front wasn't moving much as soon as Allied forces reached the infamous Siegfried Line. The major offensive started after Battle of the Bulge, which was concluded by the Rhine river crossing.

By the way you should check the Call of Duty: WW2 PC game, it has some nice missions regarding this period. I watched a let's play on Youtube. I also highly recommend the "Mark Felton Productions" channel on Youtube. He is a historian posting educational videos about WW2. Someone described Mark Felton Youtube channel as the "History Channel" back in the days before they started talking about aliens and pawn shops.

DUDE!!!
You watch Mark Felton as well?!

Also, which version of the song?

I only know one version that sings the WHOLE song, and keeps it all on a single note, if you know what I mean.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPP7EWnh2_I

Sadly, the BEST voiced one in my opinion, from the 1965 movie, only sings the first two stanzas over and over, not the full song.

I added the one from the Battle of the Bulge 1965 movie: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t_TxKRjs9yk
It was placed by me only for fun, because it was "epic" in my opinion.

Thanks for the Youtube link - i didn't know that a longer Panzerlied version exists. However, it seems "too modern" sounding to be a "WW2 recording" if you know what i mean.

You're welcome, and I agree.

The one from the 1965 movie sounds AWESOME, but it's just a loop of first two stanzas, when the song is actually much longer, ending with the ballad considering the possibility that... well, listen to the song with close-captions turned on for the lyrics. :)

P.S. In addition to sounding "too modern", the accents are wrong; they are Swedish.

Song performed by ABBA maybe? Or Roxette.

I suspect it was not a strong pretender for the Eurovision Song Contest. ;)

They weren't Sabaton, sadly.

Also, hands off Mark Felton; he's MY historian. ;)

OK Myron. I replaced the default Sherman tank wrecks in the Ardenes 2 mission with the custom ones (Sherman tank Winter model from Call of Duty: United Offensive).

See picture below as an example.

Unpack the Sherman_CoD_Winter.rar archive (models.mod and maps.mod folders) into your main H&D Deluxe directory.

Next i will be working on the Ardenes 3 mission.
