I said "theatrical", not "practical". ;)

I am jealous at how you live so close to so much cool history.
The history I live close to bores the hell out of me.

OK if you consider circa 1000 km (or 10 hours of car ride) away a close distance, but for USA conditions it's close indeed. ;)

Nice easter egg, lol.

EDIT: I still remember, meeting an unknown French family in a Switzerland airport in Zurich few years ago, that were changing planes to fly to Las Vegas, while me and my family were heading towards the plane to Boston. We exchanged few words (my mother know French language) and we never saw each other again. I was going for a "historical" trip, while they were going just for fun, lol.

OK Myron. Lets return to the modding business.

I plan to make the custom Panther model imported from Call of Duty World at War usable in H&D Deluxe. A guy from ModDB promised me to create custom Winter Panther textures for the CoD WaW model, just like he did for the King Tiger model imported from Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. He is busy at the moment, so meanwhile i will look into the Panther model and see what could be done with it.

So, i imported the Panther tank from Call of Duty: World at War into H&D Deluxe.

See picture below.

This is the early stage of my work, lots of things still need to be done to make the tank actually usable in H&D Deluxe. Work in progress.

Thanks Myron! thup01

It certainly looks better, than the default Summer Panther tank model from H&D Deluxe with its "rusted looking" textures.

I can imagine, that the H&D Deluxe developers wanted the Summer Panther model to look like the model on the attached picture below...

LOL, no; the Deluxe makers erased the summer model and gave us a winter model for Greece.

You mean the original makers of Devil's Bridge.

Really? I don't remember that at all. I thought, it was always the Summer Panther model with just red star painted on it.

Myron is right. In the vanilla Deluxe version is the winter version included two times and no summer version.

Anyway, i made the custom Summer Panther model imported from Call of Duty: World at War usable in H&D Deluxe. thup01

Unfortunately, i didn't manage to make its tracks to move as it should, so they are currently static while the tank moves. Maybe i will be able to fix that, but i can't promise. This is quite annoying and i have the same problem with some of my other custom vehicles (i.e. Summer Stug III).

See pictures below.

Now i need to wait for the custom Winter Panther tank textures, that a guy from ModDB promised to create. Then i will try to re-texture the CoD: WaW Summer Panther model with those custom Winter textures and finally implement it to H&D Deluxe missions in both Summer and Winter variants.

Great news Myron! thup01

Thanks to MCh2207Cz from ModDB community i was able to re-texture the Summer Panther model from Call of Duty: World at War using custom Winter textures.

See pictures below.

In Devil's Bridge, aka FFF, the Bar-Cross was smudged out by gray paint, but nothing more.
You're thinking of the German Hydroplane; which has the two bar-crosses smudged out, and then red stars painted over them.

For reasons unknown, in Deluxe, they simply placed a snowy Panther, where the bar-crosses can't be seen at all. It's weird.

Thanks for the feedback Myron! thup01

Other tanks would say something like that: we are more reliable than you Panther (laughing at transmissions problems)!

King Tiger: hey that was not funny! Ekhm, is there a bigger bridge nearby?

Maus: Was sagen Sie Herr Koenig Tiger? Mochten Sie grosser Brucke? Ich habe zerstort eine gestern.

Ratte (Sniper Elite 3): Battleship Yamato on 12 o'clock torpedo loss! Feuer! Hans load ze V-2 rocket! (Panzerlied intensifies).
