I further updated my custom weapons aim models: this time M1A1 Thompson and ZB-26.

I made the front sight of M1A1 Thompson smaller, so it looks like its real-life counterpart. I also corrected the Thompson inventory description, because the weapon was wrongly labelled as the M1 version.

As for ZB-26 i resized both front and rear sights, so they look more like their counterparts from the Call of Duty 2 mod (from which the model came from). I also restored the ZB-26 wooden buttstock in aim model to its original uncut form. Finally i resized the in-game model having the vanilla ZB-26 model as a basis. Previously the custom ZB-26 model was simply too big in comparison.

See pictures below.

Unpack the update.rar archive into your root H&D Deluxe directory. Replace files when asked.

Enjoy!

P.S. I will eventually update the H&D Deluxe Ultimate Mod with the new files.

I also updated aim models of all my custom non-scoped bolt-action rifles, so now no matter in which stance you use them the iron sights are properly aligned and centered. Sorry for making confusion with all those last-minute updates, but i just wanted to make quick bug fixes. I overlooked few things while i modded those aim models for the first time.

After research and checking models from various PC games I also replaced current non-scoped Lee Enfield rifle model with the one imported from Call of Duty and made it usable in H&D Deluxe. The new Lee Enfield aim model has more realistic iron sights and the in-game model looks more like its real-life counterpart.

There are available now: new inventory icon, in-game and aim models. See pictures below.

After some research on the Internet for photo reference I improved the look of the Mosin-Nagant rifle aim model - the front sight is smaller versus the rear sight like in the real-life counterpart. See picture below.

If anyone is interested below i attached the files. Unpack the archive to your root H&D Deluxe directory and replace files when asked.

I replaced the current scoped Mosin-Nagant rifle model with the one imported from Call of Duty. I wanted to do the same for the non-scoped variant, but the CoD model has bad quality rear sight - which cannot be properly aligned with front sight as a result. Anyway, this is not a big deal when you actually use a scope instead. I also added trigger from Call of Duty 2 Mosin-Nagant model, because the Call of Duty model lacked it.

There are available now: new inventory icon and in-game models. See pictures below.

Below i uploaded all the necessary files related to the new scoped Mosin-Nagant rifle model that i talked about.

I imported new Mosin-Nagant non-scoped rifle model from Medal of Honor Spearhead and i made it usable in H&D Deluxe.

There are available now: new inventory icon, in-game and aim models.

The new model fits better in H&D Deluxe in my opinion, while the previous one was a bit out of place (too good looking for a stock crude Russian made service rifle, more looked like the Finns improved it, lol).

See pictures below.

In addition i added a scope from the Call of Duty 1 Mosin-Nagant sniper rifle model to the non-scoped Mosin-Nagant imported from Medal of Honor Spearhead that i presented in my previous post - succesfully creating a sniper variant for more consistency. I think that the scope fits quite well.

There are available now: new inventory icon and in-game models.

See pictures below.

In addition i added a scope from the imported Hidden & Dangerous 2 Lee Enfield sniper rifle model to the non-scoped Lee Enfield imported previously from Call of Duty 1 - succesfully creating a sniper variant for more consistency. I think that the scope fits quite well and look a lot like its real-life counterpart. I actually improved the look of the scope by adding missing front lense, restoring parts, resizing, etc. The default scope came from the H&D 2 viewmodel which lacked few elements upon checking up close in 3ds Max. This new scoped Lee Enfield rifle will replace the current model. I also changed the inventory description to: Lee Enfield No.4 Mk.I (T), which historically was the designation of this particular sniper variant.

There are available now: new inventory icon and in-game models.

See pictures below.

Unpack the Lee Enfield scoped update.rar archive into your root H&D Deluxe directory and replace files when asked.

Enjoy!

So when players hit the F4 or F3 button to cycle through the 1st-person sights, what are their options now?

I improved the look of my custom Luger pistol model in side view aim mode based on the vanilla Luger pistol for size reference. I did the same for the Colt 1911 and Webley revolver.

Thanks to NilsZ we will have eventually side view aim mode with aim cross AND iron sights view aim mode (or through scope) at the same time in H&D Deluxe. The idea is to give the player the possibility to switch between those 2 modes in 1st person view. Meanwhile i will try to improve my older side view aim models starting with handguns.

See pictures below.

Finally i updated side view aim models of the 2 remaining handguns from my mod: Tokarev TT-33 and Welrod pistols.

See pictures below.

I will continue my work on other weapon categories as well, so when NilsZ release his next exe update they will work as intended.

Now when you press F4 button in 1st person view you switch between these aim modes: only cross, weapon + cross (in this case iron sights with cross or scope view with cross) and only weapon (in this case iron sights or scope view). The F3 key serves only to turn on and off the aim line in 3rd person view.

To properly use new iron sights view for weapons in the recent H&D Deluxe Ultimate Mod 2.2 update you need to use the aim mode with only weapon model displayed, because when you use the weapon + cross aim mode the shots will land where you point the aim cross at not the iron sights. I wasn't able to properly align iron sights with aim cross in all the player's stances. Anyway, i think that the aim cross would only disturb / obstruct the view when iron sights on weapon are used.
