H&D Deluxe, the ultimate mod: Guns
Re: H&D Deluxe, the ultimate mod: Guns
I replaced the old Bren LMG in-game and inventory models with new better looking ones found on https://p3dm.ru/files/weapon/. See pictures below.
I could upload the needed files, so you could see and use this new Bren LMG model in H&D Deluxe. Please let me know Myron, if you are interested. The previous new Bren LMG weapon model was problematic, so i decided to replace it with another one.

LOL, are trying to transform the entire arsenal?
Anyway, was the Luger originally called "Parabellum P'08"?

Re: H&D Deluxe, the ultimate mod: Guns
Very nice improvement on the Thompson, given that from the 3rd-person-view, the grip looked like it was made of metal, which is illogical because a metal handle can't protect your hands from burns like a wooden one can.
Maybe that's why the British airborne preferred gripping a Sten by it's magazine instead of holding it like Churchill .

Re: H&D Deluxe, the ultimate mod: Guns
I totally agree about the Bren; much nicer looking than before, and more realistic, I think.
Hmm... I've been thinking, weapons like the MP40, where we look down the sight, is there a version where we see the gun Call-of-Duty style, like how we see the Thompson and Spagin?

I prefer the default MP40 sights style (stock H& Deluxe). In addition, that was easier for me - leaving the default MP40 iron sights. I don't know if i would be able to edit the sights to be like H&D Deluxe Thompson and PPSH-41 (Spagin) sights.

Well, the stock H&D Deluxe Thompson has 20-rounds clip, but the new model looks like the Thompson with 30-round clip. I will need to change the Thompson parameters in the inventory tables (clip from 20 to 30 rounds).
Thank You for pointing this out!

Re: H&D Deluxe, the ultimate mod: Guns
Yes. That is basically my idea (or at least most of the H&D Deluxe default weapons arsenal), but it will depends on the availability of new free 3d models on the Internet and their editing possibilities (some free 3d models are not suited for H&D Deluxe due to their big size in MB, etc).

Re: H&D Deluxe, the ultimate mod: Guns
In addition to replacing the old H&D Deluxe weapons with new better looking models i searched the Wikipedia for info about all the grenades types present in the stock game.
As a result i made some changes in the inventory tables and text descriptions:
-> Stielhandgranate Model 1924 (known also as "the potato masher") weight changed to 0,7 kg and fuse from impact to time. Look here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stielhandgranate#Model_24;
-> Eihandgranate Model 39 (the German grenade introduced in FFF expansion by default) fuse changed from impact to time. Look here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Model_39_grenade;
As for the British No.69 grenade - it was firstly introduced into service in August 1942, so i should remove it from the available inventory list for the H&D Deluxe Italian and Yugoslavian campaigns. Look here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No_69_grenade.
The stock Italian campaign start date is set to 05.07.1942. The stock Yugoslavian campaign start date is set to 05.09.1941.
However, this doesn't make any sense, because all other stock H&D Deluxe campaigns were placed in chronological order, but not those 2 (Italian campaign begins before the Yugoslavian...). Maybe the game developers made mistake and the correct date for the Yugoslavian campaign should be set to 05.09.1942? What do You think Myron?

No I mean in the game.p.jakub88 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2018 10:30 amYes. Look here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luger_pistol.
I never cared for pistols, (unlike Victor, who is obsessed with pistols), so I never selected pistols. But in the vanilla game, when you selected a luger, did it say "luger", or "Parabellum P'08"?
Re: H&D Deluxe, the ultimate mod: Guns
Yes, You are right. When the player selects the German pistol the text descriptions says "Parabellum P'08".Myron wrote: ↑Wed Jan 31, 2018 12:16 amNo I mean in the game.p.jakub88 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 30, 2018 10:30 amYes. Look here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luger_pistol.
