...I've never seen an Enfield with that kind of barrel.

The Vanilla MK4 model from Classic H&D looked more realistic.

This is the Lee-Enfield No. 4 Mk I. Quote from the wikipedia article: "Unlike the SMLE, that had a nose cap, the No 4 Lee–Enfield barrel protruded from the end of the forestock."

Full article could be read here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lee%E2%80%93Enfield.

The new model was downloaded directly from here: https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/ ... azine-Mk-I.

So, the new model looks way better than the default one from H&D Deluxe AND H&D 1.

I don't know, how you could say that the MK4 model from Classic H&D looked more realistic, LOL. The new one is more detailed and the textures aren't blurry. See pictures below.

The SMLE IS the MK-1 model, used in WWI, and MK-3 used in early WWII looks the same. (This was used in FFF)

The gun you want to use is the MK-4., which was used in the Classical game.

Yes, i want to use the same Lee-Enfield sniper rifle type (version) that the one used in H&D 1, but the new model is looking better.

Ah ha! So you did agree with me back when I asked you to keep the Classical model, only increasing the ammo from 5 to 10.

But maybe you declined because of the non-scoped gun not getting a new model.

I suppose you can do it; still, that extra-long barrel tip... it's winking me in the face.

Well, blame the new Lee-Enfield model author for that not me...

I will try to reduce a bit the length of the barrel of the new Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk I sniper rifle model to look more realistic (like on the pictures that you posted earlier).

I changed the Lee-Enfield rifles descriptions (non-scoped and scoped) and i shortened the barrel of the new Lee-Enfield sniper model, to look more realistic. See pictures below.

Looks good. Ok, let's try it.

Though tell me, what does (T) mean?

I must apologize, because i got lost in all that numerous Lee-Enfield rifles versions, that was made across all those years.

According to the rifle model description itself, the new Lee-Enfield sniper model that i put in H&D Deluxe is NOT the Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk I (T) version, but the "Short Magazine Lee–Enfield Mk I": https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/ ... azine-Mk-I. It would make sense, because there are some notable differences between those 2 versions. The problem is, that according to Wikipedia the "Short Magazine Lee–Enfield Mk I" was in service between 1904–1926 years. However, after slightly modifications, maybe i could give the new Lee-Enfield scoped rifle model the name "SMLE No. 1 Mk. III* (HT)"?

Quote from wikipedia article:

"During both World Wars and the Korean War, a number of Lee–Enfield rifles were modified for use as sniper rifles. The Australian Army modified 1,612[44] Lithgow SMLE No. 1 Mk. III* rifles by adding a heavy target barrel, cheek-piece, and a World War I era Pattern 1918 telescope, creating the SMLE No. 1 Mk. III* (HT). (HT standing for "Heavy Barrel, Telescopic Sight),[7] which saw service in the Second World War, Korea, and Malaya and was used for Sniper Training through to the late 1970s.[45] There is evidence that some SMLE No. 1 Mk. III* (HT) sniper rifles were used by Australian forces during the later stages of the Vietnam War."

Once again i changed the description of the Lee-Enfield sniper rifle and i used the inventory icon from FFF.

I also edited the new Lee-Enfield sniper rifle in-game model to look more like the "Short Magazine Lee–Enfield No. 1 Mk. III".

See pictures below.

It's sometimes REALLY hard to please politicians and bureaucrats, and so weapon manufacturers just have produce many different models of the SAME gun.

There is a saying in the US military; "Remember that your weapon was made by the lowest bidder."

It means that the politicians who outrank the military officers choose the cheapest (lowest quality) models that they can, and only later when they MUST will they let the guns be upgraded.

Yes, i agree with you Myron (the same story was i.e. with the development of Sten submachine gun).

Below i posted a picture of a real SMLE No. 1 Mk III* (HT) sniper rifle that i found on Google graphics.

My new Lee-Enfield scoped rifle in-game model looks very similar (despite the removed bayonet mount).

I found a nice looking model of the Webley Mk IV .38 revolver (see picture below).

This type of revolver was widely used within the British Army in World War II: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Webley_Revolver.

I will let you know Myron about any progress.

Adding a completely brand new weapon?

Very ambitious. I can't wait to hear from this. :P
