Hello everyone,

i would like to share with you my twentieth-nine created mission add-on for Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe, it is called "Where eagles dare".

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Unpack all the rar archives into your H&D Deluxe data folder (i.e.: C:\Program Files\Take2\Hidden and Dangerous Deluxe\data) and replace data.dta with the new one. The mission add-on is a file with *.add extension. Start the game, choose play add-on and select "Where eagles dare" from the menu.

MISSION BRIEFING

Gentlemen, today at night we will be parachuted into Bavarian Alps. Our objectives are to make a distraction by destroying enemy fuel tanks, free the captured allied agent from the castle, blow up the antenna mast located on the top of the castle tower to cut off communications and escape by truck with the agent towards the forest. A German mountain infantry regiment set up a camp in this area. The captured allied agent has a valuable info about incoming D-Day operation. We cannot allow the Germans to interrogate him! Good luck!

IMPORTANT UPDATE

I re-uploaded the data.rar file once again. It seems, that there were some files missing inside the data.dta archive preventing from launching the game. I apologize for that.

I remember seeing the movie as a kid; when I saw them putting TNT in the archives room, I immediately thought of the Germany 1 mission.

Have you actually played this mission?

I have it downloaded, but I don't know which data file I am supposed to use with it.

I was so carried away by the pictures, I must have overlooked them.

Just tried it very impressed. Especially like the fact you got the theme music at the start.
One of my most favourite war films too, that and 633 Squadron. I always liked the cable car fight scene and the fact that the heroes rigged the car before jumping into a freezing river, sooner them than me! Makes me wonder what went through the Nazi commanders mind as he ordered his troops to open fire on the car from the lower station.

thank You very much for the feedback! My favorite element of this mission is actually the model of Medieval castle - it looks scary from distance, especially at night, lol.

I recommend my other H&D Deluxe add-ons that take place in Asia and Africa.

I think the textures of the castle could be a bit higher scaled :)
And why did you gave the castle dynamic shadow?
The model is OK but I think every passage should be reachable.

This is one of my first addons with custom model and i gave the castle a default texture found in the H&D Deluxe maps folder (brick wall from the Greece 3 mission). I didn't make the model - i downloaded it from Internet.

As for the castle having a dynamic shadow - honestly i didn't know that.

If you are skilled you could edit the model in the way you want it to be. It suited my needs for the "Where eagles dare" addon.
