Click on server game will crash

Had to remove HnD2 a while ago, just reinstalled again. When i click on a server the game will crash to the desktop, my memory fades on how to fix this. Could some nice person please remind me :)

Put up a new empty textfile named serverlist.bin in your hd2 profile folder and make it read only/write protected. Otherwise you gona have to delete the serverlist all the time before you join an server

Also crashes if i click on Lan. This is distastrous!. I do have a new system though.

BIOS: Award Modular BIOS v6.00PG
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5000+ (2 CPUs), ~2.6GHz
Memory: 2048MB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT
Realtek HD Audio
NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller (which i think could be the problem)
