H&D2 will not start

I just bought H&D2 and installed it on my computer

Installation when without a hitch.

When I try to start the game I get an hourgalss for about 2 second then nothing happens.

I downloaded all patches up to 1.12

Still the same thing

If I run the set up that works (I doi get the screen to change the settings ) but no matter what I chose I still cannot start the game.

I am running XP pro

I did turn off my anti virus just in case

Any one can help?

Try updating your graphics drivers (or changing them to older ones), maybe try updating direct-x. My friend says that sometimes having your resolution set incorrectly can do the issue you stated.

I have programs just not run before in XP, normally I just alt-ctrl-del and end task the program and re-start it. Never had this problem with H&D2 though.

Make sure you installed the correct patch for your game too. There is a patch for H&D2 and a diferent one for those who have Sabre Squadron too (smaller).
