Blood stains on clothes

Unread post by yoobie » Thu Oct 14, 2004 6:06 pm

I played h&d2 a while ago when it was released, and deleted it few weeks after completing the whole game.

Recently i heard that an expansion pack is going to be released, wewt! So i installed the game again, got the expansion pack and...

Well, everything is all right, but when i first played hd2, soldiers had blood stains on their shirts in spots where the bullets hit. Now theyre gone, i can unload half a mag into some guys body, and his shirt is still perfectly clean... and its not only in the expansion pack, the original game lacks those stains as well...

Any ideas how can i get my gore again?

Blood stains on clothes

Unread post by Jason » Sat Oct 16, 2004 3:04 am

 it seems my copy does the same.

I know there are suppose to be faces with camo on them for your guys but some people have posted about not seeing it. I can't see blood stains or camo faces. I have tried all different graphics settings, nothing

Anyone else got these troubles?

Yeah but that doesn't work. It turns off blood completely if you have it on low. I have it on high so I get blood, just no stain :?

I can't recall the stains on enemy-bodies uniforms (I wasn't so eager to check whether they need some cleaning before being dumped in a ditch) but I do recall the smashed faces of some who received a granade or a headshot. Also the SAS have blood stains on their uniforms - unfortunately  ;) .
Did you patch up to 1.06 before applying SS? I just installed H&D2 and then installed SS without patching.

Nope, you don't need the 1.06 patch or any other patch to install SS.

Well, that's what I just said ;) . But maybe it could be because you installed SS on a patched version that the blood stains have disapeared.

Lol, I doubt that very much but maybe.

Do you still have blood stains? What about the camo faces?

I had those masked Germans in Lybia3. For the stains on the enemy I have to check again  ;) .

They had black and green comouflage colour in the Brest-mission. I wanted to take a fancy screenshot of my "Grenni", but the picture went all black (which in fact is a problem for another technical thread ;) ).

Blood stains on clothes

Unread post by yoobie » Wed Oct 20, 2004 7:30 am

I never patched hd2, didnt want to play online so i didnt need the patch.
So i installed SS over an unpatched game.

I uninstalled ss, and reinstalled hd2. Blood stains and camo faces were back again, but after i installed ss, they were gone.

Maybe illusion softworks decided that the game was too violent for its age category...
