I've often had trouble playing HD2SS online.

Sometimes after I die, I just won't respawn, nothing will happen, and I have to quit and re-enter the server to start playing again.

It has happened to me in both free-for-all and team modes, and is very annoying. I can't seem to be able to pin it down on one thing. Sometimes I will play for half an hour and die a dozen or more times and then it will happen. Other times it will happens on my 1st death :?

Happens totally randomly, sometimes it happens to me every round, sometimes it doesn't happen for days. Very annoying. I believe it's due to packet loss, but I know of no way to fix it - don't think anyone else does either.

Well I got the same damn problem.. anyone knows why and how to fix it? it really ruins the game for me. thanks in advance

Drozdov nailed it kapper. Packet loss; try a server closer to you with a better connection or get yourself a better connection.
