Are you running a firewall?

It may have something go to do with it (F.E. if I run server with firewall, none of my friends cannot see it but when I turn it off - they can see it)

You need to open udp ports 11001-11004. I would not recommend truning your firewall off these days.

Modem shouldnt be messing with anyports, they are computer ports that aer being talked about...

If your PC is directly connected to the modem then you dont have to worry about a hardware firewall...

Next is a software firewall, you claim to not be using 1?

Windows does have a firewall...

Confused here, (doesn't take much, am getting old). Sargent Viper begins topic then erikjbc cuts in with the same problem, me thinks, are the two above mentioned the same person?.

To disable your XP firewall, format your drive & install Windows98. Then throw your copy of XP in the bin because thats the best place for it. Or:

Open Control Panel, Network Connections, open your connection icon, click on Properties, click on the Advanced tab & disable the firewall.
Also when your in there if you want your PC to be a little bit safer uninstall "Client for Microsoft Networks" & "File & Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks". You can also disable netbios when your in there too. Have a look & see if you can find it. The latter two open your PC to hackers.

Thanks A Lot
