ohh this is where you all are. i wondered why fugue's forums were so empty. nice to know there's still people out there 8) anyways, a repost from his forum of something i posted a few days ago...
i'm back at uni and this year they've decided to block ports for virtually everything, browsers included. we can request some to be oppened, and as the ones i asked for the battlefield series don't seem to be working, seems i may be back to hidden and dangerous :D so, from what i've read it only needs ports 11001, 11002 and 11003 to be open. you lot know any better?

You will also have to allow HnD access to the internet through the firewall aswell as opening up the ports.
Lars: What are ports 27900 & 28900 for?

thanks for the replys. Lars - are they TCP or UDP? i'm assuming UDP but might as well ask...
and 27900 UDP is the GameSpy Master Server UDP Heartbeat and 28900 UDP is Gamespy Master Server List Request.
though gayspy doesn't work regardless, meaning i have to manually enter ip addresses to connect to. so hopefully there's a list of hnd2 server ips somewhere, else maybe someone could write down some current ones?

The school server could also be silently blocking all unknown software. Never had PC's in my school days :(
Never had to open ports 27900 & 28900 to get HnD2 to work BUT, i always get connection problems :x

When, unblockign ports, allways do tcp and udp...
Sum of those are RW ports...
