Refusal to Patch to 1.12

Loooooong time since I've posted here. But I thought I'd try the game out since the last time I played it, some 10 years ago. I've installed HD2 and HD2SS up to 1.11. I've downloaded the 1.12 patch, but when I load it, it says it's already up to date (Which it isn't) - I relaunch the game and it's still 1.11. Any tips?

Hi, try following:
Go to Start -> Search for "regedit" and execute registration editor ->
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE -> Software -> Illusions Softworks -> Hidden & Dangerous 2
(if you have 64-bit Windows: ... -> Software -> Wow6432Node -> Illusions Softworks -> Hidden & Dangerous 2)
Now look for the keys "version" and "version_spec"
Change both values to
1.07.0000.
Now try to install the
Sabre Squadron 1.12 patch.
Be careful with the registry. Change only what's written above

Just looked in the registry, I've found "version" which is already set to 1.07.0000 but I don't see anything called "version_spec"

Here's how my registry looks like

Maybe you have to change "version" to 1.11.0000, then patch the game..
Also possible that it has nothing to do with the registry.

Or he is using the wrong 1.12?
