Resolution problem again

Bought myself a 24" TV & using it as my PC monitor & using an HDMI lead, res is 1920x1080. Max res i see now in HnD2 setup is 1024x768, surely it should be able to go higher than that. I did do a search & the link that Lars gave on widescreen gaming is dead. Help!

Try turning off V-Sync and then seeing if the resolution will change next time you run the Setup. Or just use your graphics drivers to stretch the image...

I aready had V-Synch turned off, tried with on & still no change. The game screen is stretched to full monitor size which is 1920x1080, my other monitor would not stretch the screen like so, i can change the ratio with the TV remote but it means i am now getting stretched graphics.

Well I get 1280x960 as max, what is the refresh rate on the 24"?

refresh rate is 60.
In setup where is has 'bit depth', it is set to 32 but in the log it states the game is using 16, i dunno!?!
Using texture formats:
16bit textures: D3DFMT_R5G6B5
1bit Alpha textures: D3DFMT_A1R5G5B5
Alpha textures: D3DFMT_A4R4G4B4
TrueColor textures: D3DFMT_A8R8G8B8
DXT1 textures: D3DFMT_DXT1
DXT3 textures: D3DFMT_DXT3
DXT5 textures: D3DFMT_DXT5
Bump-maps: D3DFMT_V8U8

My log states the same.
The solution can be found
here, via Lars.

Dont work in full screen but i can change the game to any res in windowed mode. Not a big problem but i should not forced to stretch the graphics, laziness on Devs part, there are other games just as old as this that have many screen options, one is GTA SA, released only a year later i think.
Thanks for the link Vit, & your patience
Should of stated i have it set to 1440x1080, lot of this gfx stuff confuses me.

Very little need for patience when it comes to friends.
