i got 512 mb right know and a very good internet connection and 128 mb vid card .
but i notice a dramatic drop in framerate when i play as server. after 1 or 2 maps practically making my game slow motion while the rest seem to have no prob.
i used the cleanram, upgrade my virtual mem
is there anyway to defrag the mem during gameplay without risking the game to lose connection ?

Hrmmm what mhz or ghz is your pc?

You say after 1 or 2 maps.... could it be that your computer is over-heating?

i have a tempprop to check on processor heat etc but i have look at logs but there all fine beside it wil always shut down when overheating (never happend sofare)
and i set the tempmax lower then it can take.
i have a intel celeron 2.4 with 512 mb. 128 mb vid card

i must make the remark that i always have lag in burgundy 1
even is that is the first game.
and i use the voice chat on 8.0 kbps bu even without souind it happens

i did defrag just yesterday so i wonder if that might be the problem.

What game setup setting do you have? and what graphics settings do you have in game?

Note: Turning off the grass always helps to speed up the game :D

it,s a lot better even with sound

Having compressed textures in the setup helps a lot as well. Also lowering the resolution of the game, 800x600 is good.

you might also consider upgrading/downgrading your video drivers. I had huge issues with frames drop. I was at 80-90fps then dropped to 20?s range.
My system is P4 3.06 with 512ram and 256 Nvidia 6800, at a moment I'm using version 66.00 with best frames (40-70), but experiencing more game crashes. Latest drivers from Nvidia 66.93 eliminated crashes but the game ran like an old fart?
