trouble running the HD2 in Windows 7

Hi guys,

I'm using Win 7 32 bit here, i've installed the H&D2 successfully including inserting my cd key.
The thing is, when i try to run it there was this error saying
"Bad version - engine:543 client:552"

Tried the compatibility program from win 7, and set it to tun on windows 2000 and then Win XP (SP3) but also failed..
anyone knows what to do now? I love this game
The game had no problem running on my Win XP

Try reinstall the game, i've got win7 x64 and everything fine. Also don't forget to install patches.

i tried the autopatch, but it failed.. saying something about "Fatal Error"

Got it! 
I downloaded the patch v1.12, the patch works well!
nothing happens when i click HD2 shortcut, but then i set compatibility to XP (SP3) and..voila it RUN well...

i have tried the same as you , but something went wrong .... i couldn't start my computer after restart.  did about 15-20 starts .......now pc runs ...not HD2
