Hey Guys,

First time poster, long time player. 

Someone said this forum will never die so i'm trying my luck.

This question may have come up before, i did try to find it before posting, so sorry if i missed it.

So, 2 guys, 2 legit copies of H&D + Sabre (2 individual Sabre copies) and 2 computers connected by an ethernet cable and running Win 7.

Why, oh why can we not LAN co-op?

We are both on the same patch (1.12) but nothing. He creates, i can see server, server is in black text not opaque and i can click on it and join but the screen just stays on "joining server".

Uber brains i ask you. Any ideas? 

HD2 Servers didin't work with win7 or vista. Use an real xp or 2k machine for that instead

Weird, we've played deathmatch before without Sabre installed on win7??

I don't use vista or 7. I always read that it is impossible to host any normal server with these systems. Maybe a hamatchi server might work.

Nope, it will never die well, that's the idea any way!

My friend has Windows 7 and I have Vista on my laptop. I will try to do some testing and see what we can come up with! he's much better at working these issues out than me... stay tuned!

Hey guys i know this is a really old post but i am now able to host and join my server on windows 7,sorry if it has been fixed and sorted but i could not find it here
anyway a good link i got was on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njeYteA7bDA
and all i had to do was untick internet protocol version 6 tcp/ipv6 in network and sharing centre
there is also a lot of other info but i did not do all that
any way keep up the good work guys and lets get some new maps lol
