I am looking to buy a copy of HD2: Sabre Squadron. I need to know if the PAL UK Standard will work on a North American PC. Thanks in advance.

Why don't you just get the US version?

As far as I know there is no difference between PC Games and different countries ;)

Apart from any world war 2 game published in Germany no_01

Well, that's not true, Australia has no 18+ rating so our games aren't violent. Like GTA 4 was censored, wow they had at least 2-3 days of reporting on that game. Let's see if Mafia 2 gets the same treatment ;)

I'm ranting.

They can't put the Swastika in games dealing with WWII because of German Law.

Get the British version just in case they all disappear, but keep looking for the US version. I am sure it will be posted again on eBay or somewhere soon.

Are you saying that censorship, a la fascism, to block out a symbol almost everyone that would be effected by it would already know, makes sense? This type of censorship only serves as an example from which to justify further censorship. The Japanese have it right - http://translationparty.com/tp/#202336 / http://translationparty.com/tp/#203438 - I suggest you take a look.

One more thing, my game did not come with a CD Key. Do UK Games have these, or does the game not need one because Hidden and Dangerous 2 has a CD Key?

No, you shouldn't need one, I checked a few copies I have and they don't have a CD key... but even with the MANY times I have installed the game I don't remember if I entered in two or just the one. If the games only have one on the manuals/CDs then I am sure you only need H&D2's CD key.

OK, I got that now.

One more thing, the cheats do not work in SS. I know, cheating is not "pure" but it did help in HD2. Also, the Inventory Editor does not work for SS, when I change something, the saved game is lost all together.

IS there a way to remedy this?

For the cheats? No I don't think there is... which inventory editor are you using?
