In retrospect, this seems logical since characters get stats as the game goes on, so I guess for continuity they decided that it should be that way, but for me it's a little annoying since I'll have to play every single level from Sicily 1 on just to get my silly films back.

Playing an early campaign deletes later campaign progress?
Is that the case? Because I noticed when I was going to go restore my films again that all of my progress after Sicily 1 (which I had replayed in Campaign) was deleted.

If you just want the movies you should try to open them with VLC Player or download the radtools http://www.had-gf.de/downloads/index.php?file_id=156 to play them

Well, it's not so much the interest in movies as it is completing the profile to 100%. 
So I guess after I beat the Sicily and Burgundy campaigns again, I probably won't be touching the campaign button anymore.

Or set after you finished it all files in your save/profile folder to write protected
