Help, Pilot problem

It seems stupid asking help this early on in the game, but on the 3rd mission where you have to rescue the pilot and your guide, ive rescued the guide but nothing seems to be happening with regards to the pilot. Everythin else seems to be going alright except for that one problem. How do i supposidly rescue him and get him to follow me?

The pilot, as iam sure you found out was hiding inside the hut, becomes a part of your team after talking to him, just press 0 1 1 (follow me) and escort him to the docks :)

or:
Leave him where he is & go & kill the enemy as you cannot manually control him like you can with your own men. That way you don't have to babysit him, & as you have probably found out by now the AI is not that good.

So what your saying is, kill all the enemies leading up to the docks, then come back for him and he should follow? cos all i get at the moment is the follow sign up on his profile thing but its grey as if to say invalid. oh and the task 'rescue the pilot is'nt completed' i'm lost...

The way i do it is:
Upon leaving the underground facility i kill ALL enemy on the map before i approach Sygurd. Save. Then i approach the pilot to start the next part of the mission. There will be more enemy spawning around the map, i go kill them leaving the pilot in the shack. Then i just use the tactical map to direct the pilot to the dock. If your not playing in carnage mode then just go follow him back to the dock in case there are any enemy left.
Hope that helped a wee bit. & don't feel stupid asking questions for any part of the game. If it wasn't for Fugue's walkthru i would probably never have finished any mission.

Ive killed all the enemies that appear on the map, but when i rescue sygurd, i cannot seem to rescue the pilot, and he wont follow. what do you mean use the tactiical map, how can i use that?

Well when you enter the cottage, take a weapon you can give to him + some ammo. So go near him, press "use" key while looking towards him (and make sure you are close to him), and give your another gun to him and the magazines, and throw his revolver away. With this way, he can atleast protect himself.

Then, just give "follow me" and "Fire at will" commands and get back to the docks.

Kuang_Rong_Shi: I gather then you don't have a manual or you just haven't bothered to look at it. If you don't then start HnD2 & go to Setup, Control Setup & then Key Setup. This will give you an idea just how many keys are in use for the game.
