I think hold fire will do it... I am sure they don't just stand there being shot :?

Don't use them, try playing Lonewolf or just go it solo. Much more fun me thinks :D

Good choice would be to give "Fire on my lead"- command so if they are under fire, shoot yourself somewhere so they start shoot back, or ifsomeone is hit, quickly give "Fire at will"- command to that person and when he has killed enemie, give this "Fire on my lead"- again.

Other way would be when you use tactical map, since "defensive mode" with a waypoint, they only fire if they are themselves under fire.

That?s why I prefer using tactical map most of the time so I don?t need to play so much with AI soldiers, instead I make pre-plan and they work with them, IMO, in 1.12, the tactical map works well, so you create some nice plans if you just put some effort for it.

If you're playing in hard just leave it cos you'll often get shot right in the head

Lone Wolf I have found is easier in most cases than having the extra troops, although you do miss'em in those high action parts when the germans rush you 8)

took Oldih's advice usin the tactical map when i play with a squad, seems a bloody stupid idea to put a defensive mode on the tacmap and not on the orders menu!
gotta be fixed in next patch (if there will be another) or included in h&d3. this games got a helluva lot of potential

cheers 4 replies ppl

Tactical Map is nice feature, but yeah, bloody stupid that it only works in that.

Besides, you find that tactical map is very useful when you just learn to use it.
