So, what you have to do is, mute your speakers, then they can't hear anymore.

Use the "Silent Movement" & "Silent Attack" commands.  These are supposed to be hand signals and whispers.   Of course, some of them sound like they learned how to whisper on an artillery range. 

I saw these two commands but never actually used them in the game. It is very good that they exist though. The game is well organized. I regret that I never learned to use them

Just in case you did not know ... you can also hold your breath when shooting your sniper rifle. This was added in patch v1.12 so it is not mentioned in the manuals.

Aim your weapon by looking through your scope. Now hold down the action key (I use the Space Bar) to steady your aim. You will hear your sniper hold his breath for about 5 seconds and see a bar filling up. Once the bar is full the sniper stops holding his breath. Remember, this only works for snipers.
